Ghostface recently announced the release of his new album "The Big Dough Rehab". www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZrclEIorO3Q“I got the album coming,” Ghostface said via video while on the Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim Tour. “Wu-Tang is dropping the album on the same date that I’m dropping an album, on December 4. It’s called ‘The Big Dough Rehab.’ Keep it on the low. Tell your grandmoms or something like that. It’s coming.” Ghostface also said he will be doing shows with Rakim in November and invited fans to hit him up via his MySpace. “I’m gonna be getting at ya,” Ghostface said. Hear a new song off the album, " Celebrate".

Ghostface Heads To "Rehab" On New CDFriday - November 9, 2007 by Lauren Carter Wu-Tang Clan may be undergoing a collective meltdown, but veteran member Ghostface Killah is pushing ahead with a solo album featuring spots from several Wu Members. Ghost will drop The Big Doe Rehab via Def Jam on December 4, a week before the Clan is set to drop their group effort, 8 Diagrams, which was originally slated to come out on the same day. The solo album - a follow-up to last year's critically acclaimed Fishscale and More Fish - includes guest spots from Wu brethren Method Man, Raewkon, Cappadonna, U-God and Masta Killa as well as Roc Boy Beanie Sigel, Styles P & Ghost's Theodore Unit. The first single "We Celebrate" features producer Kid Capri working in a sample of the Rare Earth classic "I Just Want To Celebrate." The Wu wordsmith is currently touring with Rakim and underground phenom Brother Ali for the Hip-Hop Live! tour, which wraps on November 21 in Philadelphia. Ghost also has a coffee-table book, The World According To Pretty Toney, set for release on January 8 through MTV Press. The book is dubbed "the modern hustler's guide to life" and includes tips on such topics as Living, Hustling, Love, Nutrition and Toneology with a companion audio disc. As SOHH previously reported, the Wu is undergoing some internal conflict surrounding the creative direction of their forthcoming album, 8 Diagrams. In a recent interview, Raekwon revealed that he and the other Wu members are so unhappy with Rza's guitar-laden, orchestral sound that they may come out with their own album, sans The Abbott, if changes aren't made.

Billboard ReviewEven while the Wu-Tang Clan was most active, Ghostface Killah was quietly establishing himself as one of the wickedest, least predictable MCs of this era. This is his third album in 18 months. But if there's a bottom to Ghost's lyrical well, he's nowhere near it on "The Big Doe Rehab," which is jammed full of dense, smoggy New York chaos. For street-gutter crime stories, it's hard to beat "Walk Around," whose blaxploitation horns belie the surprisingly compelling narrative within. For the club, there's "Supa GFK" and "We Celebrate," a hot-tempered party jam based on a left-field Rare Earth sample. And for the fan of fictional party rhymes, there's "White Linen Affair (Toney Awards)," where Ghost lines up the current roster of hip-hop royalty and takes his place strong in the middle of it. —Jeff Vrabel
