Anyone else hear this? It's a great upbeat rock song perfect for the summer. I think it was featured in some commerical recently (don't remember which).
Anyone know any other good songs by the band?

This hit the Alternative chart last year, actually (debuted 4/9/04): 43 42 34 34 31 29 27 27 27 28 28 34 44 It was part of the Pepsi/iPod promo, I think.

Well, they did get some promo when Jack White punched Jason (the lead singer) in the mouth last year. I'm pretty sure if that doesn't happen, nobody would've really heard the song, or of the band for that matter.

I didn't get it right away, but I love the song now. Sounds great every time it comes on the radio. They're part of the scene in Detroit, so I still get to hear plenty of it.

This song was also the theme song for 'Rescue Me' (a tv show about nyc firefighters). That's where I first heard this. Pretty good, but nothing really special.

This song is awesome. It was used in a Chevy dealership commerical that aired in my area.

Top song, shame it wasn't followed by anything else of note...

You know what I just realized; I think I actually saw these guys in concert in 2002 at Coney Island. I found out that the day I went there was the same day as that year's Siren Music Festival, and I remember seeing one band perform that day. I saw some photographs from their performance and they looked very familiar, and I'm pretty sure I remember a couple girls on stage in the band. And I remember them saying something about going back to Detroit at the end of their set (I only saw the last 15 minutes or so, which was puncutated by everyone in the audience rhythmically clapping.) That's really kind of a trip-out considering I thought I hadn't heard of them until '04.

I think sometimes about how I should pay more attention to the opening acts and stuff at concerts, because you never know if you'll hear from them again... you just kinda assume you won't.

That is kind of trippy. I think sometimes about how I should pay more attention to the opening acts and stuff at concerts, because you never know if you'll hear from them again... you just kinda assume you won't. And the thing is, I never counted it as an actual concert I attended because I wasn't there very long and I had no idea who was performing. I guess I should count it now, though. Weirdest thing was during their set, somebody passed me a CD. Now I don't know if it was by them or someone else, since it didn't have any art on it, and I don't remember the liner notes, plus I never listened to it, and I threw it out before I moved to Seattle. Now I'm kinda regretting that I did that. Incidentally, here's the link to this year's festival, which was held yesterday. www.villagevoice.com/siren/It also has links to past festivals, including 2002. A lot of other acts from that year's show have had some impact since then. The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Donnas, and The Shins were among some of the performers there. All four of these bands have had top 20 hits on my personal chart since then. Guess ya never know, sometimes.
