Featured on last night's The O.C. Youth Group is an Australian band. www.youthgroup.com.auThe clip used in the show was pretty good, and I want to hear the full song. If anyone could find an MP3, I'd be thankful. :)

Of course it's #12 on iTunes because of it.

I was wondering who they were.
It's crazy how much the OC has an impact on digital sales.
But it is logical.

I was wondering who they were. It's crazy how much the OC has an impact on digital sales. But it is logical. I just started a thread in Alternative about this single, I'm sure it will get locked up soon. Anyways, yeah it's a great song, and it is no surprise that the O.C. influences Digital Sales that much. A lot of the people who download songs are in the 15-32 age range, and in that age range their are a lot of supporters of the O.C. In my opinion, the O.C. is a pretty good drama once I gave it a chance, but if you like alternative music\indie rock, the O.C. does an excellent job of helping artists out and getting their music into the spotlight. However, with the success of Napoleon Dynamite and this being the "montage song of the week", this song was due for success. Has any other indie acts recieved this warm of a download-spree thanks to the O.C.?

This is the first time I've noticed The OC really influence downloads. In the past few episodes, the show played "Soul Meets Body" and "Do You Want To" among some other current singles, with no effect at iTunes. I think "Forever Young" is a fluke just because it was actually worked into the script of the show (two of the main characters made this "their song" on Thursday's episode).
Having said that, I've come across some great songs as a result of The OC, like "Trouble Sleeping" by The Perishers and "Strange and Beautiful" by Aqualung, to name just a few. Also, The OC exposes some great UK bands who are popular at home but just indie here, such as Athlete.
