According to Natalie's official website, which is currently being re-done for the new year, Natalie will release the follow-up to Counting Down The Days in Spring 2007! I know there are quite a few Nat fans on this board. I for one am a huge fan of this woman. Her entire catalogue is excellent, from each album to every single b-side. She can do no wrong in my book! She is 3/3 for fantastic releases. I have faith that the next will keep up with the trend! In the meantime, check out this hilarious clip of Natalie performing Torn via interpretive dance at the Policeman's Ball! www.youtube.com/watch?v=4wVaYT_jlUk

I like Natalie. Her latest album was very good, how did it sell?

I'm so surprised her U.S. fanbase put her down after album #1. Considering how big her debut was here, I was sure she'd stick around here and be much more successful.

Counting Down the Days was really good. I know it debut no. 1 in the UK, but tumbled down the charts pretty fast. I have no idea why the title track flopped though. That was my favorite on the album.

Totally agree - what a waste of a really good album!!!! She could have had several hits from Counting Down the Days.....White Lilies Island is one of my all time favourite albums "Talk In Tongues" is just brilliant

This is fantastic news! Natalie's one of my favorite artists and I have to agree that all of her CDs are equally amazing. I can't choose between White Lilies Island and Counting Down the Days. With WLI, the last third of songs in it are her strongest work to date.

Shiver was hot but Counting... is way hotter... I love almost every single from her except for That Day!!! I love her alternative era with Smoke, Torn and Wishing I Was There.. and her pop era was really cool with Wrong Impression and Beauty On The Fire (the hotness)

Awesome! The right single could put her back on top again in the U.S.

Not to my knowledge. I don't think she pushed anything at all from CDTD in the US.

I hope this is good. Last song I remember from her is Torn. I know she had a few after that, but they weren't as big, well not here anyways. So, I hope she can come out with something good.

Last time I heard from her was when she had long hair and was on Johnny English, LOL. Either way, can't wait, loved her songs!

Torn is a classic, imo. But with this album she is basically starting from scratch; I doubt anyone remembers her.

Shiver was an enormous hit for her, her biggest since Torn. Her record company failed to promote any other single, however. Hopefully they don't make this mistake again with the new record.

I think, with the right marketing and promo, and the right single, she could definitely re-capture some of her American success.

Great news! She's one of my all time favourite artists and all her albums are fantastic.
I can't believe how badly they promoted her last album, especially after a #1 debut in the UK. The entire album was amazing.
I will be eagerly awaiting this one.

Both Identify and Honeycomb Child are excellent. Each song shows how well Natalie does with experimentation. Identify is found on the Stigmata soundtrack and was written/produced by Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan. I'd love to see her work with him again!
I hope we get some official news soon about the album like exact release date/title/etc!

I like Left Of The Middle, it's a very energetic album, if I may say so. White Lilies Island is just so boring. The only worthy song is Wrong Impression. After that, I lost interest, even though Shiver and Counting Down The Days are decent, they don't hold a candle compared to the Left Of The Middle stuff.

See, I love Left of the Middle as well... it's totally catchy and one of the most perfect pop-rock albums I own... but I think White Lilies Island shows what Natalie is cappable of as an artist/musician. She had a hand in writing more of the songs, the arrangements are gorgeous and organic, and she really experiments more. She took a risk by making an album that doesn't have the radio appeal of her debut but in my opinion, she pulled it off. It wasn't as successful, which isn't surprising, but a lot of her die-hard fans consider it her best work.
I think Counting Down The Days took the elements of each record and blended them perfectly. The songs have a lot more accessibility but are still more complex than those of her debut.

Not to make this an argument, but I don't agree with you. I think WLI was a very weak album considering lyrics. When I said boring, I also meant lyrics. They don't bring nothing new to the table and, well, they are just poor. Of course, it's just my opinion.
