NEW YORK, March 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Music World/Columbia Records will release Ms. Kelly, the avidly-awaited sophomore album from the Grammy-winning pop-urban musical superstar Kelly Rowland, on Tuesday, June 26.
"Like This," the first single from Ms. Kelly, is an infectious pulsating hip-hop groove featuring the Grammy-winning rap artist Eve. After a mere week at radio, "Like This" is already lighting up America's radio airwaves with a nationwide listening audience of over 5 million. The single is slated to impact Urban/Rhythm radio on March 27 and Top 40 on April 17. A "Like This" ringtone was made available on March 6 with a digital download and 12 inch single being offered on March 13. The CD single will be in stores on April 17. "Like This" is currently being promoted on AOL Music's New Songs page while fans may hear a streaming version of the tune on Kelly's MySpace page (http://www.myspace.com/kellyrowland).
"Ghetto," the second single from Ms. Kelly, provides a showcase for the combined talents of Kelly Rowland and guest artist Snoop Dogg. Ms. Kelly is the long-awaited successor to Rowland's best-selling 2002 gold-certified solo debut album, Simply Deep, which has sold more than two million copies worldwide. Peaking at #1 in the UK, #3 on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Album chart, and #12 on the Billboard Top 200, Simply Deep included the smash hit, "Dilemma," Kelly's duet with the rapper Nelly, which earned the Grammy for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration in 2003 and spent 10 weeks at #1 on the Hot 100.
"I have put my heart and soul into this record," said Kelly about her decision to make this record very personal. "I am excited that everyone will hear it. I am completely exposed. It's the real me."
One of the vocal superstars in Destiny's Child, the biggest selling girl group of all time, Kelly Rowland's talents proved a major contributing force as the group racked up sales of more than 60 million records worldwide while earning two Grammy Awards in the Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals category (2000: "Say My Name"; 2001: "Survivor").
Kelly's natural charm and charisma have opened up the doors to roles in movies and on television. Her big screen acting credits include starring roles in the 2003 horror blockbuster, "Freddy vs. Jason," and 2004's comedy-romance, "The Seat Filler," executive produced by Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith. Among her television appearances, she has appeared as "Carly" in three episodes of "The Hughleys" and as "Martha Reeves" (of Martha & the Vandellas) on "American Dreams." She has performed on "Saturday Night Live" and as a guest host on "The View."
Most recently, Kelly Rowland is appearing as celebrity spokesperson for the "Dark & Lovely" hair product line from Soft Sheen-Carson (consumer products division of L'Oreal USA, Inc.).

I thought the song was a bit too risky, I won't be suprised if the second song is released before the LP.

I'm sorry, but this song has FLOP written all over it. Ditto for the one with Lil Wayne. She would have done better to release Flashback.

Ms. Kelly Besides being the only female I'll ever stalk in my life, Kelly Rowland is ready to drop her sophomore LP "Ms. Kelly" which is slated to be released June 26th 2007. Last friday I had a chance to sit down with the tantalizing songstress right before a listening session for her new album. Day dreaming into her alluring brown eyes, my ass almost forgot I was there for business. Very polished and poise, Kelly's country drawl took me over as soon as she said hello...but once again I regained my focused and got back to business. When I asked her about the inspiration behind the album title "Ms. Kelly" she responded with a glow on her face that would make moonless night glow. "Growth, being an adult and when you hear Ms in front of anything you think eloquent" she answered as I just cheesed away at the fact I was actually sitting less than 3 feet away from her lol. With the first single "Like This" ft. Eve, which was also produced by in-demand producer of the year Polow The Don, gaining a heavy amount of spins on urban and pop radio stations across the country, Kelly was highly excited to collaborate with Eve this time around. In her soft southern accent Kelly stated "I love Eve, her energy and when I heard the track I could just hear her on it. So I gave her a call she said of course". Even though it was a quick seven minute interview, I felt we spent an eternity talking to each other (having flashbacks lol). As I sat in the listening session for her album, you could just hear the growth and maturity in some of her songs. The second single, "Ghetto" which features Snoop Dogg and produced by Tank, was an indication she's ready to reach out and grab a new fan base. She's even in talks with T.I. and Nas to do a remix for the second single "Ghetto" which might be produced by Swizz Beatz. Hopefully one day you all will be blessed with the presences of "Ms. Kelly", but until then you'll just have to wait for the audio presences of "Ms. Kelly" when it drops on June 26th. uheardthatnew.blogspot.com/2007/03/1-h...it.html

They should've held off on sell in it. I agree with u, And I hate the title..best of Luck It shouldn't be surprising that they aren't using the same tactics with her singles as they do with Beyonce's. This alone should be indicative of what's to come.
