I love "Deep Inside." I love all the Mary "oh woe is me" joints. The only song that makes me want to slap Mary is "Sexy." And that is just because she slapped Jadakiss on there.

Mary, along with Maroon 5, Usher, Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, and a host of others will be paying tribute to those who lost their lives in the tsunami. It will be aired this Saturday on like 50 TV stations, so I doubt you will miss it.

I dont think the video is that bad. The fight scene was kinda goofy but have seen worst. The concept is really good though. its like the "new" Mary is battling with the "old" angry, hurt and bittter Mary. She is finally happy but sometimes those old feelings come back and she had to deal with them and beat them and accept them in the video. i thought it was kinda cute. Definately not as bad as it was made to seem. I dont think they should have pulled the video. it wouldnt have hurt her, I think not having a video in rotation hurt her more than anything. the video wasnt really bad, maybe her acting though. YIKES!

I mean, the video isn't that bad if you're looking at it in Mary standards. She's done worse. But for one thing the concept of this video had absolutely nothing to do with the song. "Ooh!" is a HAPPY song, and Mary tried to do some deep, sad shit with it and she failed.
It's like she took elements good and bad from all her videos in the past and tossed it into this video. The whole "Sad Mary" and "Angry Mary" spirits were comedy, and the whole scene where they're supposed to be fighting, but they look like they're doing some ancient dance from the tribe Krazee Niguh.
The thing that got me was that Mary pulled this off the airwaves like it was gonna hurt her career, as if she is known for her great videos. Then she said "Not Today" was gonna be a great video and it wasn't. And then she pisses everyone off (at least me) by wasting her time releasing a video for a flop song, "It's A Wrap" which turns out to be not only the best video of the album era, but like the most well put together video of her entire career. >:(

I feel like a crackhead right now because I just realized that I did see the video before. I actually saw the making of it on BET All Access. That was like the only time I saw it though, so maybe that's why it got blocked from my memory , lol. I didn't think it was that bad either; it just didn't fit the song IMO.

It hurt her to not have ANYTHING out between "oooh" and "not today" for that long period of time. Mary isnt a visual artist so no1 expects some type of Janet masterpiece. That video was fine, and if anything if people didnt like it the laughter would have created some buzz and would have made people want to see it for the pure comedy. it could've helped her. Slly move on her part and Geffens to pull this.

Another DIVA doing it big in 2005 is Mary J. Blige.
J. Blige, who just celebrated her birthday on Tuesday, is hard at work on the follow up to her platinum #1 smash, "Love and Life."
Since word broke out that Blige was working on her new album, producers and writers have been coming out left and right doing interviews and begging Mary to let them be a part of her new project.
So far lined up collaborators are Rich Harrison, who produced "Crazy In Love" and currently has a hit under his hand with the the tone deaf diva, Jennifer Lopez and her "Get Right" single.
90's R&B hitmaker Kandi plans on making a comeback by working on some material with Mary. No word on whether her work will make the final cut.
Musical genius Raphael Saddiq is one of the many producers that begged to be a part of Mary's untitled project. He got his wish, and has worked on two tracks with Mary.
Bryan-Michael Cox, who might be more noted for his work with Usher on tracks such as "Burn" and "U Got It Bad" has also been in the studio working with Mary. Cox has also aided Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey, Destiny's Child, and American Idol winner Fantasia on projects.
Fans are hoping that a collaboration with singer/songwriter/producer Alicia Keys is possible. When asked about her musical inspirations Alicia was quoted as saying "Mozart … Mary [J. Blige is] definitely my dog. Man, I wanted to be Mary..." So maybe the fans can get what they want if all goes well.
Also highly anticipated is a song Mary worked on with Floetry called "Way Down." This was a track that didn't make the last album but once the fans saw Mary recording it on bonus dvd that came with the album, they demanded that she release it. Never wanting to disappoint her fans, Mary informed then that she's thinking about adding it as a bonus track.
Mary was also delighted to know that Anita Baker has written a song with her in mind. Anita has always been flattered that Mary got her record deal by singing "Caught Up In the Rapture" and has wanted to work with Mary from the beginning. If this collaboration takes place, it'd be history!
Mary plans on releasing her album either late summer or early fall of this year, but if you still haven't had your fix of Mary, check out G Unit member The Game's album for the beautiful collaboration "Don't Worry." Game also has a song on his album with Faith Evans in which he samples vocals from Mary's platinum smash, "Not Gon' Cry." Mary will also appear on former Da Band member, Babs's debut album scheduled for release this year. And along with that Mary is scheduled to take a part of another album from the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin. Mary wrote, co-produced and sang background on two songs from Aretha's last album and they plan on a duet this time around.
And if that still isn't enough Mary, don't worry. Now that she is under management by Matthew Knowles, Mary will be doing a full year of promotional endeavors to keep her name in the spotlight. She will be performing at the Tsunami relief benifit this Saturday.

It's still all true. Just because he wasn't paid to write it doesn't make it false. It's basically a compilation of all of the news we already have.
