Sebastian Bach's Angel Down, the best Rock album of the 21st century offers you an incredible journey through Hard Rock and Heavy Metal music. The awesome Rock sounds you were once so familiar with returning to you now all brought to you by the ex-Skid Row voice! Produced by Roy Z, a guitarist, composer and producer known for his work with Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden), Rob Halford and Judas Priest it's all on this new timeless masterpiece CD called Angel Down!
Angel Down
The moment you put Angel Down in your CD player you hear an ominous background key melody which proves to be calm before the storm. As soon as the title track song Angel Down written by Sebastian Bach and Adam Albright kicks in with Bach's heavy hitting screaming vocals it sets the tone for this album. This is an album to stay! It's meant to be remembered for years to come from now in Rock history staying true to the classic sound yet being modern at the same time. Vocals almost similar sounding to a demon reminding a little at the setup of Mötley Crüe's Shout At The Devil at moments. But don't get mistaken it's just the setup of the song. This song is an original Hard Rock classic all on its own simply being the perfect opener!
You Don't Understand
This song has everything to offer you're looking for in Rock music! It's totally feel good and everything good about it is featured in this song. The song has the most catchy guitar riff of the 21st century that'll get stuck in your head instantly. Written by Sebastian Bach and Roy Z Bach delivers an outstanding vocal performance with a top notch guitar solo on top of that in the middle towards the end of the song fading out in the guitar riff theme that constantly comes back throughout the whole song. It makes you feel like you've entered a time warp Back to Hard Rock's golden era of the mid to late 80's. Bach would definitely do good making this a single and shoot a video for this one for MTV to play the hell out of this just like they would do back in the day! Why not now? It's fun, feel good and catchy like crazy! My favourite rocker on the album!
Back In The Saddle
This next song Back In The Saddle embarks one of the greatest, most talked about and anticipated comebacks in Rock music history. None other than Mr. Axl Rose, lead singer of classic Hard Rock band Guns N' Roses is featured on this track making it his first major appearance on an artist studio album with original material in almost 17 years of time when counting G N' R's Use Your Illusions albums as the last! The track is a brilliant cover of the 1977 Aerosmith classic Back In The Saddle! Written by Joe Perry and Steven Tyler the song's meant to be a statement of Bach and Axl launching themselves back to the music scene to stay with a chemistry between them that could simply be described as amazing! It's a duet lead vocal reminding of the attitude that the Guns N' Roses debut Appetite For Destruction had as well as the self-titled debut Skid Row. Like Aerosmith lead singer Steven Tyler said two thumps up to Bach Axl on this one! An amazing achievement!
(Love Is) A b***hslap
(Love Is) A b***hslap is the second song in line of 3! songs featuring fellow Rock legend Axl Rose! Written by Sebastian Bach and Roy Z this is an awesome uptempo Rock track with a killer attitude. This will take you back to the killer attitude of the Guns N' Roses debut Appetite For Destruction all the way for sure with both Bach and Axl sharing vocals on this brand new all new original attitude Rock song which is Axl's first original performance on an album like this in 17 years! The song's so straight up classic upbeat Rock it almost feels like a real b***hslap hard hitting right in your face!
Stuck Inside
Stuck Inside is the third and last song in line of the 3 songs featuring Axl Rose this time also co-written by him. Written by Johnny Chromatic and Axl Rose this is a very heavy song talking about being stuck in love while you can't get out when necessary. It makes the message very clear with apart tearing Heavy Metal guitars and has Bach and Axl doing a question answer duet part vocal towards the end of the song ending in one of the most demonic screams ever to be made in Rock music by Axl Rose. If this is a little something for things to come expect earth shattering things of Axl on the ever and most anticipated album in Rock music history new Guns N' Roses album Chinese Democracy!
American Metalhead
The message is an updated Youth Gone Wild. Written by Mike Chlasciak the sound goes more and more into straight up Heavy Metal in an awesome way! All Heavy Metal fans around the world should embrace this here! A-meri-can Metal-head deserves to be crowned to a new Heavy Metal anthem of the 00's! Another favourite!
Negative Light
Written by Sebastian Bach, Mike Chlasciak and Steve Digiorgio this song borrows some even more heavier sounds like Metallica and similar sounds but all in an own original Sebastian Bach way. With a unique guitar solo in the middle the heaviness really fits the song. It's simply straight up classic Heavy Metal!
Live & Die
Live & Die, yet another great Heavy Metal journey. Written by Mike Chlasciak and Tim Clayborne Bach has the straight up right in your face heavy vocals hitting hard while singing them in an awesome vocal with a scream way towards the end. This is my second favorite rocker after You Don't Understand.
By Your Side
By Your Side, new king of Power Ballads and music in general in the 00's! Written by Sebastian Bach and Roy Z the song could be I Remember You part 2 but stands all on itself. A new romantic love song Rock ballad classic masterpiece that rocks the hell out of today's music scene with the perfect nostalgia ending towards the end while ending on a screaming note. This is the perfect single and will tell you that Bach in fact was Skid Row. My favourite song of the album which is pure perfection!
Our Love Is A Lie
Kind of reminiscent to old Skid Row rockers such as on their 1989 debut for example. Written by Sebastian Bach, Mike Chlasciak and Roy Z this song has an old school attitude kicking all over the place!
Take You Down With Me
A lot of different influences on this Heavy Metal song... Written by Sebastian Bach and Steve DiGiorgio I hear a little 80's Hair Metal era Ozzy in the beginning as well as some progressive sound bands but of course most of all Skid Row and Sebastian Bach overall! The whole setup of the song is great and the guitar starting to solo from the middle towards end part is a favourite one!
Stabbin' Daggers
Written by Sebastian Bach, Johnny Chromatic and Bobby Jarzombek low background key parts thrown into the mix in a killer Heavy Metal song making the message very clear! The guitar solo totally rules in the middle of the song! Another great real rocking song we have here!
You Bring Me Down
Another awesome rocker here! Written by Ralph Santolla a great vocal on this one in a truly classic Hard Rock sound!! This rules hard!
Falling Into You
How awesome to end in this perfect way with this incredibly amazing new masterpiece song! Falling Into You written by Sebastian Bach and the legendary producer Desmond Child is a complete throwback in time taking you all the way back again to when music was actually good in golden era of the 80's. Bach mixes the perfect power vocals from the verses to the catchy chorus of this song created with lot of different instruments in the mix having the perfect ending on a piano note! My second favourite of the album, Bach and Desmond Child definitely did the job on this one!
