Well to be honest she probably IS the best singer out there. She is just not a great songwriter IMO. If she could get over the rent-a-rapper stuff and concentrate on getting some great pop songs she would do much better on the world stage. Your a Leona Lewis fan your opinion doesn't count. And, what rapper was featured on We Belong Together or Shake It Off gtfo w/ that mess. Songs like Vision Of Love, Breakdown, and Clown were very well written.

Hey, slave4britney, slow down man!!! Not need to use rais your voice or use HELL that much :) We are discussing openly here! And, there is no need to turn this into a Mariah-Madonna war either. I have not tried to compare them at all. They have their own place in music history. I also like Mariah, I have many of her albums, and I was a big fan of hers from Vision of Love to Forever, which is one of her best songs for me, and a song that deserved to be a successful single. My main problem with her came after her change of image and style, and the tactics used to get her #1s. When you have a gem like Fantasy, based on Genious of Love, and then you decide to repeat the same formula with Heartbreaker, there is a sign of lack of creativity... but when you repeat it AGAIN with a much less inspired track like Loverboy, and still manage to get a #2 thanks to boosting discounted sales, that is just wrong to me. Same with other repressed or discounted singles (Thank God I Found You, Don't Foget About Us) and other strategies to market their singles.... (I supposed that is why some of her singles are currently sold at LESS THAN $0.99 at Amazon right now, inlcuding a couple being sold at $0.01 (LMAO!). About international comparisons, Mariah IS big, I just wanted to emphasize that in US she is just HUGE. In UK, she has only had 2 #1, and both of them covers: Without You and Against All Odds. The last one, she even had to rework the original version and add Westlife to get the #1. Precisely, Westlife is the Mariah in the UK in terms of #1: Up there along with The Beatles and Elvis Presley. TO me, that is just overappreciation. Mariah Carey is definitely one of the best singers out there, but IMO nothing to put her that high among the best in history, even surpassing Michael Jackson (!). Of course, all of these IMO... and by the way, I am a Non-smoker and NO!! I'm not going to respond to the Madonna-Mariah comparison. I'm not here to flame the fire of that fanswar. I would only comment about Mariah :) You are here to flame. It's typical Madonna fan whining about Mariah having more success w/ her singles. And, repressing downloads was to force people to buy the album. Maybe, Warner's should've tried that with Confessions.

Trying to start another flame war eh? 2 totally uncalled for comments. The truth hurts. And, you and Andy fired the first shots in your posts. First of all, over 2.3 million people have cared enough about Celine's new album to buy it so far. FACT. Second of all, Leona Lewis is loved by many and his opinion is no less or more important than a yours. FACT.

Hes not here to flame at all, if anyone here who is trying to start arguments its you by the looks of it. Juanca is one of the nicest people on this board, and some people really should take his example. He wasn't whining, hes just said his thoughts, which just because they're not all sugarcoated, and 100% positive about Mariah, does not make him a "hata". This isn't a fan board, people are allowed they're own opinions, especially as he's even complimented Mariah. Hes right though, Loverboy, would not even have gone Top 10, without a price cut, they got desperate as it was underperforming, and Mariah's carrer is centred around getting numbre ones, and beating records. Same with John and Andyk, leave them alone. Just because he likes Leona, does not make his opinion invalid. Everyone has a right to their own tastes, and many Leona fans like Mariah, like myself. Grow up. Anyways.... I'm looking forward to this a lot, I hope she delivers, she has certainly had the time to make something amazing, and she usually delivers. I don't like the title, but I won't judge it till I've heard it! Can't wait! :)

I never called anyone out or slam an artist for no reason. My comment was clearly on the unnecessary bickering over a song title that may or may not even be accurate. However, you've chosen to go steps further and make it personal and slam anyone's favorite artist who doesn't already love a song nobody has heard yet.
