It it's not a big deal why the earlier thread was locked so quickly even if it had the same official information this thread has?

I'm thinking it's better to NOT refer back to the first topic created on a song. That way, people won't feel the need to rush to make a topic on a song that hasn't been made official yet and if their topic gets locked and someone else makes another one when the song has been 100% confirmed, they get to keep their topic open because they waited. Otherwise, it's pretty much just a race to be the first to create a topic on a potential big hit. What's the big deal? What are the rules of the forum????

Is this a JD Production? I was discussing this with my friend the other day. We're 95% sure it is. I remember him using the word Chick A LOT in his songs like: "Gotta Getcha", "Its Nothing", and "Lets Talk About It". I'm pretty sure he wrote/produced this song. At least we know the song will be safe and pop-friendly.

However, yeah, there are topics without confirmed adds dates and the only reason that I can explain that we let them open is because, despite this being a radio forum, sometimes songs are "released" as "singles" but not necessarily released to any specific radio format. But we can't NOT let them have a topic. So anyway, I've been hoping to convince the others of having an additional forum for songs that are singles but not radio-format-specific. If we had that, imo, it would make the rules SO much easier to enforce because then we could have a clear cut rule of official source or no official source. Lock or no lock. Why is it so important that you're the first to make a topic on a song?

LMAO @ all of the Nicole flopping stuff on here on the previous page. I never laughed so hard before on this site.
Anyway, really interesting title. I can't wait to hear some new Mariah!

At least thats what happenned in the Pinkch era!

Wooo hooo...Mariah FINALLY waited a good amount of time between albums. She likes to slap shi.t together and release it quickly but i'm glad she took her time with this album. It's been a while, so it's gonna be nice to have her back.

I can't wait to see how fast this thread is gonna EXPLODE when she leaks the single Tuesday. I think this is the most anticipated single of the last 2 years....seriously.

Hmmm, I think Deja Vu was more anticipated, and it'll be very very hard pushed to have a bigger debut that Deja Vu. If this gets 13 Million Audience Impressions in one day and 70 Million Audience Impressions in its first week; then it can be classed as more anticipated.

I still can't get over how fast the song rose, and how it stalled all of a sudden and fell so rapidly. It had HUGE anticipation, so the minute it leaked Pop Rhythmic, and Urban all put it onto heavy rotation, I know one station that played it thress times in a row :o. But then It got bad call out, because it wasn't as good as Crazy In Love, and the video recieved huge recieved huge negative feedback. If it wasn't for that it would have kept on going. I think that the only other person who can rise that fast is Mariah, because she is possible just as anticipated and dominates the three many formats - Urban, Rhythmic and Pop. I can see it getting maybe 10 million AI in a day and 50 in the week. It could be even bigger in the first week than Deja Vu, lets see! :)

Im not surprised about Deja Vu, it sucked! Girl shoulda gone with Upgrade U, then Irreplaceable. Her album would have been a lot more successful than it was. imo anyway. :)

Does anybody remember when her fans actually started a petition to redo the video.

i'm sorry, but that waas hillarious. Its like her true fans turned on her....sad....But I have to say, the B-Day era was VERY innovative on her part, even though it wasn't THAT successful.

The B-Day was one of the MESSIEST eras I've ever seen: - Dissapointing 1st and 2nd singles performances (What the HELL was Ring The Alarm) - Random Duet with Shakira popped out of nowhere - The Re-Release was pulled off shelved after 2 weeks because B and Papa Knowles don't know how to ask for permission to cover songs - The album's TRUE hit "Upgrade U" never went for official add dates on Pop - Low-budget videos for random album songs
Seriously, the album could have been 6X platinum by now. Papa Knowles needs to sit his ass down!!!

Tuesday can't come soon enough. :o I hope this is hot after all the anticipation. Expectations are pretty high so it's going to have to be REALLY good to meet or surpass them.

i hope this title is wrong. what the hell is she thinking?! it sounds so low, so slutty and she ain't no 20 year old ho who stripps in videos. she's dumb! how can she let that happen?! i'm very very disappointed if this is title of her song. and i think it will have no success around the world or even in usa.
I'm That Chick You Like is title for artist such as Nicole S. and other ho's who wanna make some success, not for THE Mariah Carey, 37.!
I'm MAD!

I think Madonna's single is the most anticipated- because she hasn't worked with major huge-name producers in over a decade.

If the song is hot, the title really doesn't matter.
