I don't mean the usual Fleetwood Mac and John Cougar Mellencamp songs you hear on AC. My AC station plays "More Than A Feeling" by Boston and "Sweet Home Alabama" by Lynyrd Skynyrd. I don't expect to hear Led Zeppelin or AC/DC, but I wouldn't be surprised if more ACs played songs like "Magic Man" and "Born To Run".

It would be nice if AC played classic AC artists like Carpenters, John Denver, Kenny Rogers, Sinatra, and Manilow. It seems AC is nothing more than 80s & 90s pop greatest hits with a few newer songs thrown in. And most of those tend to be cherry picked from other formats. For example, once Matchbox 20 end their pop/hot AC runs, that song will be picked up by AC.

Guess it depends on the competition...and if there's another AC station more geared towards females
Our AC plays "How You Remind Me" by Nickelback, and "Push" by Matchbox 20, so I guess "Sweet Home Alabama" isn't too much of a stretch
As far as Sinatra and Manilow, thinkin you're gonna have to listen to "Adult Standards"...btw tons of ACs have been playin Matchbox 20 for years (esp. If You're Gone, Unwell, even Lonely No More by RT) - yours must lean towards "Soft AC", cause I think Vegas has a pretty strong Hot AC station (KMXB I think)
Markets without Hot ACs though have ACs which have Daughtry, Matchbox 20, Nickelback, Goo Goo Dolls, and Train as staples
