Britney. Songs such as Where are you now, Shadown, Everytime, From the Bottom of My Broken Heart, Born to make you happy, State of Grace, Someday are great vocally. I've only heard at least maybe 3 songs from Madonna where she showcases her voice. In Evita, Like a Prayer, and Frozen. Madonna's last live performance was pain inducing.

Madonna, by a long shot.
Britney doesn't have anything as good as "Take A Bow", "This Used To Be My Playground", & all that stuff around the "Evita" era.

Madonna's last live performance was pain inducing. Are you talking about the MSN thing? I agree. She sounds alot huskier live then she does on her radio/studio version and that kind of breaks the sexy, youth sound that she tries to emote in her songs. I never realized how much that illusion enhances her sound.

Not saying Madonna's voice is bad.. but, I do think Britney's is better and has idiosyncrasies that I enjoy more.
