LOL. They might as well have just been like "Pay Rate: Pepperoni Pizza and a gallon jug of Fruit Punch". I guess this is gonna be one of those Master P movies.
She needs to just put out some music. By the time she secures major label distribution, AI5 will be over and nobody will be thinking about her whatsoever.

Oh great, more filler spaces on the CD shelves in Walmart. Not that I wasn't a fan of hers, but she won't do anything.

I read somewhere that she's signed to Dallas Austin's record label.

Everybody has indeed completely forgotten about her. The movie looks good though!

I haven't forgotten about her. She was one of my 2 favorites on AI4 and one of the highlights of the AI4 concert tour, I think (along with Bo, Nikko, Constantine and Jessica Sierra). I agree she should have put a single or something out sooner, but I am looking forward to her album and movie!

This is straight latoya london part II. I think it'll be a long long time before her CD comes out.

I know it's really a rough row to hoe for any new artist, but I don't see Nadia as anything like LaToya London. I think she showed a real knack for putting her own stamp on a song and she did not at all sound like a cookie-cutter R&B diva. That does not mean her CD will go anywhere on the chart, of course, but I'm really looking forward to hearing it and probably buying it. I think she's very creative, not to mention a natural performer.
The thing about indie labels and self-publishing is that the costs are so low these days that you don't have to sell hundreds of thousands of copies to make a go of it.
I'd also love to see Nadia in films.

I was surprised on the AI4 tour how much I enjoyed Nadia's performance. Others had better vocals, but I thought Nadia's stage presence was tops.
I don't expect this album to do anything though. It feels like way too little, too late. But who knows, you never know when a particular artist or song will strike gold (no pun intended). Can't blame her for trying.

Great news. I'm looking forward to her new CD. Along with Carrie, Jennifer, and Diana she is another on the top of my list from AI. Carrie grew on me after AI. I'm not much interested in many of the other AI girls. Nadia is so interesting and unique. If she sings, I hope someone captures it.

Hmm...I liked her on AI, its hard to say how she will do though. It depends on the type of music she sings and how much appeal she has. We shall see....

she's very good. She's anindividual with her own style and everything. So I hope she does well. But she does need more exposure, cause we do know what happened to alot of past idols, well then again alot of past idols have gone on to become quite successful. So the best of luck to her.

Hey, a few months ago, who'd a thunk that Jennifer Hudson, 7th-place finisher in AI3, would be up for an Oscar and have 3 songs on the soundtrack from a major movie? BTW, did anyone catch Nadia co-hosting on The View this past Thursday? I found out the day before and forgot to make a reminder note (since I don't normally watch The View), so I missed it. But glad to see she's beginning to get back into the spotlight, even if gradually.

She was one of my favorites at the start of that Idol season- I saw her on the view. Her personality is not very likeable. In fact, she is almost irritating. On Idol, her "I'm a real artist" schtick got old quick. She has an "attitude" that is off-putting. she might be good at acting though- many people complained about the strange faces she would make when she would sing- but I remember the same complaint being leveled against Jennifer. But Jennifer was subdued compared to Nadia- Nadia looked like she was being "tortured" when she would sing sometimes- she would make the ugliest faces. Jennifer's gay fans will help her immensely in her career- Nadia doesn't have that- it will be an uphill battle for her.

there have been alot of delays so far for Nadia's music . there is still a week to go in january so hopefully there will be something soon.also there is an update on her film which had a name change and will be released on DVD on May 8th. einsiders.com/iscoop/index.php?subaction=showfull&id=1169105194&archive=&start_from=&ucat=1&"A TASTE OF US" BECOMES "LORD HELP US" Tri-Seven Entertainment and Image Entertainment aim to guarantee public impression with change of soon to be released DVD title to LORD HELP US LOS ANGELES, CA-- Just weeks before its premiere at the 15th Annual Pan African Film & Arts Festival (PAFF) February 8-19, 2007, the soon to be released DVD entitled A Taste of Us has in a sense been baptized and born-again as Lord Help Us. The urban inspirational comedy is the directorial debut of former child actor, Shavar Ross (Diff’rent Strokes) of Tri-Seven Entertainment with distribution by Image Entertainment. “The original title was carried over from my 1960’s based film short, which was motivation for the story line. It had some sentimental value in that aspect, but I wasn’t married to it. So when we (Tri-Seven and Image Entertainment) sat down to discuss the true meaning of the film, “Lord Help Us” was more suitable, given its modern aspect”, expresses Ross. The story follows two best friends who help an elderly pastor regain his church and life after members of his congregation are convinced he’s eloping with a woman 40 years his junior. Stars include newcomer Bill Toliver, Nadia Turner (American Idol), Joe Clair (B.E.T.), Margaret Avery (The Color Purple), Debra Wilson (MADtv) and Amentha Dymally, with special appearances by Omar Gooding (Baby Boy), Al Jarreau, Tico Wells (The Five Heartbeats), Sam Sarpong (MTV) and more. The executive decision was mutual as the two companies organize promotions and marketing of the DVD’s release set for May 8, 2007. Lord Help Us will debut during the Pan African Film & Arts Festival with a screening on Saturday, February 17th at The Magic Johnson Theater in Los Angeles, CA. PAFF registration and schedules available at www.paff.org.
