From an inside source at the Phil camp, this will be the next single.
Release Date: TBA
Should be released very shortly after LIABT peaks.

Awesome! I think that'll do well for him.

I love Phil so much, he grew up in the same place I was born.

As I stated in the LIABT thread, this was the obvious choice for the next single. It is classic Phil, the kind of song that his new album is otherwise lacking. I think this song should do very well. I'm not sure it's quite strong enough to go #1, but I expect to be a solid T10, and quite possibly another T5. They really had a hole to dig out of after releasing This Is My Life first, but they're 2 for 2 since then IMO.

The more I listen to the album, the more I wish "Let Me Love You Tonight" was the next single. My hope is that they plan to release that song in the late fall/early winter after this single peaks.
This song is definitely good, but I am still nervous about it's chart success. I have a hard time seeing it cracking the Top 10, but I am most certainly pulling for it. I just feel like it's GOOD, but not GREAT.
Should have an add date, soon.

Should have an add date, soon. Not sure what they're waiting for. I know there are a lot of new songs out right now, but I think this song is good enough not to get lost in the shuffle

I'm sure it'll get a release date within the next week. I really think Phil can hit the top 10 with this.

'LIABT' has flat-out collapsed in spins over the past two weeks, but it's now #5 for the year in spins @ Mediabase, so there's really no reason for 'I Would' not to be sent to radio as early as next week.

This was the obvious choice, as someone already said. I don't see why it shouldn't hit at least top 10.
Overall, I'm disappointed in this album, nothing really stands out by any means. But it's still good music, good to hear through once in a while.
After "I Would", I don't think there's any other obvious choice for a single. Possibly "Around Here Somewhere", but.... eh. I'm ready for a new album already, lol.

This is really moving slow. Did LIABT move this slowly when it first charted?

LIABT hit the ground running. It debuted at #51 and was at #40 the next week.

^ The song jumped out of the box pretty quickly, but after reaching #37 in its third week it slowed down to typical Phil pace, spending 6 weeks in the 30's, 5 weeks in the 20's and 7 weeks in the 10's before finally making the T10.

Ohhh, ok. Yeah, that's the type of chart run I'm expecting of "I Would" (assuming it goes that far up)

I have said all along that I don't expect this to go Top 10.
Top 20, probably, but even that isn't guaranteed in my opinion.

Man, this is starting to lose spins already. Guess Phil's career will never change. :( They should have released "Let Me Love You Tonight".

It's not that unusual, as Rodney Atkins and James Otto have experienced the same circumstances earlier this year.
If radio won't let go of your previous single, the follow-up won't go anywhere.

The going for adds date was back in July, but thanks to the major housecleaning which took place on the charts two weeks ago five songs went from the top 20 to recurrent at CA/MB, which is very rare), I expect this song to start scooting up the charts at a respectable pace.

I sure hope Phil can get a top 10 out of this song.

I do wish that this song was moving up the charts a lot faster; this is really disappointing.

It's certainly done now, having lost 150+ spins according to All Access.
Is anyone out there as disgusted as I am that this superb singer/songwriter/pianist is not among the format's very biggest stars?

Is anyone out there as disgusted as I am that this superb singer/songwriter/pianist is not among the format's very biggest stars? I think he should've been a big star back when he was releasing top notch material like "Rose Bouquet" and "Just Another Day in Paradise". Lately he's slipped big time in my opinion; "This Is My Life" was a mess, and "I Would" was just okay.
