I dont think Carrie will lose BCFV with Just a Dream...unless they REALLY want to give it to Miranda Also JaD should be a BCS nominee as well Yep...i also love JaD and Carrie.....but don't forget about Trisha Yearwood...This Is Me You're Talking To is one of her best songs and her voice is perfect so she could win BFCVP. and Miranda Lambert's Gunpowder & Lead is also a great country song...so let's see what happens

Oh I already think Trisha's song is Carrie's chief competition. Miranda could be the upset beause her song was critically acclaimed AND was a top 10 hit...while Trish's was only FANTASTIC

Anyone think Jive will try and send Archuleta's "Crush" to the Best Male Pop Vocal Performance category?

It'd be stupid not to but if so, will Time of My Life be submitted? I think Cook would beat Archie for a nod if theres only room for one.

Anyone think Jive will try and send Archuleta's "Crush" to the Best Male Pop Vocal Performance category? If I remember it right, they submitted Tattoo too last year, right? So the might submit this although by the time they consider the nominees, this song is still too new to have made an impact. So yeah, TOML has a better shot than Crush although IMO Crush is 10X better.

I have a feeling "Handlebars" will feel alot of love as well. We can only hope. I really how it gets nominated outside the rock categories. It deserves Record Of The Year. Everyone knows the song... even people who don't listen to rock radio. Similar to Rehab last year and Not Ready To Make Nice the year before. Well-known songs that didn't get a ton of airplay (at least when compared to a song like Umbrella or Bleeding Love).

See I think it will definitely be nominated for RotY and possibly SotY. It has huge cultural impact...everyone's facebook status quotes it lol.

A song by the flobots - definitely look it up. It sounds silly at the beginning but builds into this political anthem. It's a phenomenal song that hopefully will be recognized - will it be nominated in rock or rap categories?

I honestly hope Handlebars doesn't get nominated for any of the major categories, which I doubt it will. Absolutely dreadful "song".

Lmao... every single lyric has been quoted at least once in everyone's status. "Andrew can split the atom of a molecule" "Katie can keep time with no metronome" "Dee can ride a bike with no handlebars" Etc.

^ No way the Grammy's would EVER nominate M.I.A. for anything. Also, would Paper Planes even be eligible for this year?

Also, what about "Pork and Beans" for some Grammy love?

And I kinda doubt LS will get up for ROTY although I could see it being a possibility for Pop Female.

^Thank you for that :)
This has been such a weak year for music, and I feel that the singles I've predicted for ROTY are the only worthy ones of the nomination.

What about John Mayer's chances for this year? "Say" was a big hit for him and he might even get a nomination for his duet with Alicia Keys. LESSON LEARNED is the kind of song that can surprise people with its brilliance!

Album of the Year Exclusive, Chris Brown Viva la Vida or Death and all His Friends, Coldplay Long Road out of Eden, The Eagles Tha Carter III, Lil Wayne In Rainbows, Coldplay Blackout, Britney Spears
Coldplay & Lil Wayne are the anchor nods - biggest sellers of the year with great reviews - the Kanye/Amy combo of this year. Radiohead had huge press for the whole free download thing, it was very well-recieved and they are favorites. The Eagles had suprisingly huge sales and would fit the "old" spot. I think Britney & CB will fight for the 5th spot as the pop spot ala Backstreet Boys. Chris had a HUGE year and really became an 'it' star. Britney obviously is so controversial and her album got great reviews. I think Britney's would be a better pick but either could get a nod. Alicia Keys, Jack Johnson and Flobots could also sneak in.
Record of the Year Forever, Chris Brown Viva la Vida, Coldplay Superstar, Lupe Fiasco & Matt Santos Handlebars, Flobots Bleeding Love, Leona Lewis Lollipop, Lil Wayne Apologize, Timbaland & OneRepublic
Song of the Year Viva la Vida, Coldplay Handlebars, Flobots Like You'll Never See Me Again or Superwoman, Alicia Keys Bleeding Love, Leona Lewis Say, John Mayer Apologize, Timbaland & OneRepublic
Best New Artist Miley Cyrus Duffy Flobots Leona Lewis OneRepublic
