Listen to NEW Single by Craig Morgan - " Love Remembers" Single Release Date: MAY 19 (BNA) AUDIO:wm.allaccess.com/allaccess/crailove.wmaVIDEO:www.cmt.com/sitewide/apps/mediaplayer/index.jhtml?vid=254091LYRICS:You can forget what love was wearing When it walked out your front door Where you fell down to your knees And you can forget the kind of suitcase That was packed out on the sidewalk While you cried there beggin' please But love remembers You can lie and tell yourself You're over it and someone else will take love's place And this is for the best You can lie in that bed In a stranger's arms reachin' for comfort Close your eyes and still get no rest Cause love remembers The smell of a summer day Lying in a hammock over fresh cut grass And the promise of forever Yeah love remembers The sound of the pouring rain Beatin' down on the top of a car On the side of the road Where it couldn't wait Yeah love remembers You might convince yourself There's shelter in a bottle And for a while there it might numb the pain But when it hits you, then it hits you That love's still gone and you'll be wishin' That you'd poured it down the drain 'Cause love remembers The taste of cotton candy lip gloss On the lips of a long kiss And the plans they made together Yeah love remembers To feel the fingertips Running through soakin' wet hair On the bank after a midnight swim Yeah love remembers guitar solo Yeah love remembers The smell of a summer day Lying in a hammock over fresh cut grass And the promise of forever Love remembers The sound of the pouring rain Beatin' down on the top of a car On the side of the road Where it couldn't wait Yeah love remembers Love remembers (Love remembers) (The sound of the pouring rain) Beatin' down on the top of a car (On the side of the road) (Where it couldn't wait)

I like it, I think it's good enough to go top 10. Goes for adds on May 19th.

Im dissapointed in this. What ever happened to the Craig Morgan that sang stuff like Almost Home? Blah! Craig is still good in my book. He hasn't put out a really standout song since Almost Home (although Tough came close). I also think that he's starting to oversing big time -- this was really obvious on International Harvester. This song is a bit overproduced. He oversings the chorus. And yet I'd still give it a B+; I really like the lyrics.

This song is a bit overproduced. He oversings the chorus. And yet I'd still give it a B+; I really like the lyrics. I agree, it's a bit overproduced, but I guess that's the cross-product of Craig moving to a major label. The over-singing thing has been getting progressively worse, so I hope BNA addresses it when recording the album. His "I Love It" cd is still his best cd by far, and each cd since has gotten a little bit worse.

so I hope BNA addresses it when recording the album. Of course, because he's on BNA, he can forget about a Top 10... (that's a rag on BNA, not on Craig).

my favorite songs from him are "That's What I Love About Sunday", "Redneck Yacht Club", and "Little Bit Of Life" in that order. all his other songs aren't awesome songs but "Tough" and "I Got You" are good. "Almost Home" was before my time, but i really do love that too. i dont know anything else from that album though. oh, and "International Harvester" is a horrid mess. i really haven't sat down and focused on this song yet. i need to do that now. i hope his new album will be better than the last

My favorite from Craig is still Every Friday Afternoon. Almost Home, Redneck Yacht Club, and Look At Us are really good too. I've liked most of his songs, but many of them wore on me after a while. I really hope Craig does well on BNA, I'd like to see some other artists be able to follow suit (Jason Aldean, Emerson Drive, Little Big Town)
oops, forgot LBT already got a deal.

Love it. Not as good as I Got You, Almost Home, and Every Friday Afternoon, but still good.

My favourite Craig Morgan songs are "That's What I Love About Sunday", "I Got You", and "Tough". I might have heard "Almost Home" a couple times on radio but I can't really remember.
Haven't listened to "Love Remembers" yet but I'll listen to it soon. Heck I have way too much music that I like right now and that I want to listen to!!!!!

Craig's Billboard Chart History (Top 20's only):
Almost Home - 6 That's What I Love About Sundays - 1 Redneck Yatch Club - 2 I Got You - 12 Little Bit of Life - 7 Tough - 11 International Harvester - 10
**Too bad "I Got You" and "Tough" didn't get Top 10, since they were so close

This sounds like a hit to me, top 10 and maybe better. The verses are strong. He goes crazy on the choruses -- he just doesn't have a good enough voice for the overpowering stuff and I'm tired of that style anyway. But this is pretty good.
Not as good as Almost Home, Every Friday Afternoon, or his big #1 song, but pretty good anyway.

"I Got You" is such a great song. And at that time, he was on fire. I'm shocked it didn't do any better.

Yeah, don't think "Redneck Yacht Club" went #1 on Billboard.

Yeah, don't think "Redneck Yacht Club" went #1 on Billboard. You're right -- "Redneck Yacht Club" was a #2 on Billboard. If I recall correctly it got stuck behind Keith Urban's then piece of crap "Better Life".

I like this song, and it's certainly a relief after all that nonsense about pupapupa plowing the farmer's daughter.
I agree with tenpoundhammer about the production levels, but this is a nice song, and hopefully it will do well and we'll see a new album that harks back to the My Kind Of Livin' material that drew me to him.

Yeah, don't think "Redneck Yacht Club" went #1 on Billboard. You're right -- "Redneck Yacht Club" was a #2 on Billboard. If I recall correctly it got stuck behind Keith Urban's then piece of crap "Better Life". It spent a while at #3 and then managed to lose its bullet and slide up to #2, as you say, behind Better Life. Way behind. It was more than 4 million impressions behind the #1 song every week except one -- one of its #3 weeks saw it get within 1.5 million of the top. But really Yacht Club wasn't ever a serious contender for the top on Billboard.

Preach! i absolutely loved most of the songs form "My Kind Of Livin'" i cannot say the same with "Little Bit Of Life". i too like this song and agree that anything is a breath of fresh air compared to "International Harvester". it is quite a shame that it peaked higher than "Tough"

How "International Harvester" made the top 10, I'll never know.

This sounds like a Rascal Flatts track: formulaic, overproduced, and oversung. In fact, I think this sounds eerily like "Take Me There". I'm disappointed. :(

I really don't think it's "that" overproduced in comparison to other big artists, but it seems that way because his music on BBR wasn't. This definetly isn't his best work though, but I still hope it makes a run at the T10.

this is growing on me tremendously. i am starting to really like it. it is a bit overproduced though.
and now i have new feelings for his song "Tough". i used to like it ok, but i never really loved it. but i heard it yesterday and it just reminded me that the lyrics are wonderful. that song should have done much better.

Craig Morgan has a new record label and spent quite some time talking about it to the press Saturday night before taking the stage at the CMA Music Fest. Morgan says the label has really opened up and let him take control. "I have much more creative freedom here at Sony/BMG," Morgan said. "This record is more Craig Morgan than any other record I've every done before. So if you don't like it, blame me." The debut single from his album, expected in late September or early October, "Love Remembers," was released to radio recently. Morgan said the choice to release it was a joint decision. "We wanted to do something we hadn't done before on the last few singles," he said. "We picked this one together. It wasn't just [the label.]" Morgan also sent out a challenge to fellow singer Trace Adkins. "Y'all can tell him to join me [in a tour of the Persian Gulf] this December." The tour will bring Morgan home on Christmas Eve. The singer was also asked about his fans' commitment to his career. He responded by saying "it blows my mind every time I step on stage. These people are taking vacation, spending their hard earned money..." --COUNTRY ON-DEMAND
