It's already been 10 years since their debut and they AMASSED 22 Top10 hits so far in Germany!! :o Including this last one "I'm Lonely", which THIS WEEK debuts at #9 :o This makes them the most succesful German singles act. Crowd samples concert-style, electronic techno, with some pauses... and sometimes high-pitched chorus vocals, plus the vocalist speaking are the main trademarks of this band. I don't know how known they are in the US... but I know of them thanks to the DW Top40 ranking that I used to watch in the late 90s and some techno radio shows I used to hear at that time, too... so, when I heard them again 10 days ago while I was in Zagreb, I got excited at hearing them again after so many years... and to be honest, I like their new record, too!! I first discovered them on the German Top 40 countdown that aired on PBS back in '98. It was the single "How Much Is The Fish?" that made me take notice. I liked all sorts of Dance music even back then. I did buy a Bravo compilation that had the song on it (those are like the NOW CDs over here and in the UK).
I liked some of their other singles like "I Was Made For Loving You", "Manana", "F*** The Millennium", "Nessaja", "Ramp! (The Logical Song)" and "Maria." And their remix of "Uhn Tiss Tiss" by The Bloodhound Gang was decent too.
I recall Scooter had a couple singles (and maybe an album) on the Radikal label during the early 2000's. I recall having seen vinyl singles for "Ramp!" and "Nessaja."
I wish they would change up their sounds and style a little bit. Some of their singles have been different too, but many of them have been similar.
This track is okay though
