How did Toby's not-so-great 'She Never Cried in Front of Me' hit number 11 and this well sung, great song not even get above forty? It better re-enter the charts soon. Radio today never fails to amaze me.

How the crap did Toby Keith's retarded, stupid, embarassing, lame song 'She Never Cried in Front of Me' hit number 11 and this well sung, great song not even get above forty?? It better re-enter the charts soon. Radio today is a joke. Come on now, was it really neccessary to bash Toby's song to make your point. I'm not pleased this song is failing either, but if you can't voice your displeasure without bashing other songs or artists, then please keep your thoughts to yourself.

I have made comments like that in the past and I apologize for them. Anyway, I am also shocked with how poorly this song is doing compared to"Just Got Started Lovin' You." Reminds me of Steve Holy.

Sorry about the rambling. I changed the post. But I am a little surprised that this song did not do as well as the last one.

I really didn't think this would do well. The album as a whole is very forgettable. I listened through it twice when I first got it and have no interest in picking it up again. It's a good thing I got it on sale for $8 dollars.
And the whole Toby comparison is beyond assinine. The two songs are in no way related. Plus, Toby has released worse.

It's been one of my favorites of the year.

But I'll give it a chance again.

I'm wondering what James' next single will be and how well that will do.

Is this really done? I haven't looked at the charts today but as of yesterday, I thought it was still hanging in there, albeit kind of dismally. I love this song and was really hoping it would do well.

It's a good thing I got it on sale for $8 dollars. i feel exactly the same way. i listened to the album a few times and i could not tell you how one song went other than the 2 singles from it. i found it very boring. i love his voice, but he needs better songs. although i did hear a song from him on SIRIUS Beyond the Buzz last weekend and i liked it. i will have to go back and find that one. but anyways, i hope this is really done. i am ready for a new single from him. hopefully its that one i heard a few days ago, whatever its called

I don't think it's too late for this song just yet. The bullet is only -21 right now, so it could pick back up. At least, I hope so. I don't expect this to be a big hit like "Just Got Started Lovin' You", but I am keeping my fingers crossed that this song can make Top 20 (or at least Top 30) because I want to hear this song on the radio!

I see it has reentered the charts - hopefully there's still a chance.

Following up the #1 single of the year is never easy unless you're a format megastar.
I was also hoping this song would be doing much better, but 'JGSLY' is still in power rotation (32+ spins per week) at eighteen stations, which is flat-out asinine.

I was also hoping this song would be doing much better, but 'JGSLY' is still in power rotation (32+ spins per week) at eighteen stations, which is flat-out asinine. It is tough, but not impossible. Rodney Atkins followed up his breakout, YE #1 hit Going Thru Hell, with another #1 in Watching You, and Craig Morgan followed up his breakout, YE #1 hit That's What I Love About Sunday with the #3 Redneck Yacht Club. So it is doable, but I think this song would've been a better 3rd single, and a song like Ain't Gonna Stop might've been better as a 2nd single. I still don't think this song is done, but I'm not sure how much higher it can climb.

^"Redneck Yacht Club" was a #2, not a #3.

^"Redneck Yacht Club" was a #2, not a #3. Picky, picky, picky. Although I could've sworn that it peaked at #3 on BB. It went to #1 on R&R didn't it?
