ew. Billy Ray hosting will be a mess. the only talent last year was Joshua and the Hacker siblings. its too bad Warner Bros. didn't let Angela do anything. i personally liked Zac the best, but she was good too

It starts Monday, June 9th on NBC at 9:30pm I believe and Jewel is on the show as one of 3 judges.
I think Fine Line is definitely Fleetwood Mac sounding!!

Awesome, thanks. She's too cute. Can't wait to see the new video soon. I see there is a 330 session sneak peak too. Hope that comes out soon.

This album... if you like a slow album with lots of ballads, then this is one for you.
I'm more of an uptempo kinda guy, especially this time of year, so this album just doesn't do it for. That's not to take away from her fabulous talent... but I just couldn't handle more than 2 listens to all the sloooooooooow songs when I heard the whole thing.

I actually preferred some of the slower songs, "Anyone But You" in particular.
I have mixed feelings about the album as a whole. I really like the timbre of Jewel's voice, but I find a lot of her interpretive choices distracting. I really don't like that precious/cutesy affectation in her phrasing that occasionally crops up, and I find she gets breathy at oddly chosen times (it's clearly deliberate) and doesn't always maintain a consistent tone (again, by choice, because she has pretty good control over her vocals). Overall, I think the tunes are solid enough and I do hold Jewel in high regard as an artist. And despite not thinking that her interpretive choices always flow right, this album sounds like it came fairly naturally for her. As a whole, I think the album is a pretty enjoyable listen. I don't feel particularly connected to the music, but it's still an effort I respect. It's not dismissable fluff...it's an interesting listen with more musical and lyrical depth than a lot of mainstream country right now.

I love this CD and think Jewel did a great job but I don't know how many radio friendly songs there are, especially for her as an artist making their debut in the country format. However, the more I hear the new single "I Do" the more I totally love it. I am hoping it does really well and it is mid-tempo at least! :) In response to the other post, I am disappointed there are not more uptempo songs too :(

Sorry for all the posts. I just wanted to say the one song she didn't write, "Till it Feels Like Cheating" is phenomenal! What an amazing song. I really like her delivery of this one. I am glad to see she picked all my favorites for the 330 sessions. Can't wait to listen to this!

It would be hard to get a feel for how the actual song is from this version. Sorry!

I listened to her on some countdown this weekend. I've always been impressed with her conversation and dialogue and this countdown reinforced it. She's very articulate, intelligent, descriptive and substantive.
I like this song. I think it'll match the success of Stronger Woman.

I haven't heard the album yet; for the first time of her career I don't have my hopes set super high, for some reason. I know for sure I'll enjoy it, but we'll see. I have always kind of had a feeling that it's the next one that will be phenomenal.

I like this better than "Stronger Woman". Should be at least a top 20 hit for her.

So I am suprised no one has commented on this yet, but doesn't I Do sound like Seven Year Ache? It's got the same structure--the chorus at least is very very similar.

This ranks with some of her best singles, in my opinion. I love it - much more than Stronger Woman.

Sadly her being a judge along with that foul John Rich on Nashville Star makes me the least bit interested in hearing either of their music right now. WHy on earth does he think he's Gods gift to country music?

i despise John Rich now after seeing him on Gone Country and Nashville Star. has anyone noticed that the judges that you can't stand always sit in the middle? (at least for me). Paula Abdul (American Idol), Naomi Judd (Can You Duet), John Rich (Nashville Star). haha

Yeah, I can see how it has a similar sound to "Seven Year Ache". At this point I prefer "Stronger Woman", but I like it better than anything I heard from the last album.

Thanks for the video link. Hmmm, not sure what to think. As much as I like this song and Jewel, the video seems a little strange. Maybe it's just me but I don't like how she looks all seductive while she is mouthing the words to the song. It seems a bit over the top. I like the ending--kind of ironic with the wedding ring since they've been dating 10 years, lol. I do like the video concept but something about her walk and her lips is annoying me a tad :)

^^Really?? Oh well, haha, I saw nothing pornish in there... Anyway, I liked the video! It was interesting and decently shot. As always, Jewel looks gorgeous and I think it fits well the tempo and mood of the song. Hopefully it will be a hit! You can also check it on youtube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=z42jA3OOECc

Yeah, I feel bad for saying that. I don't know what it is, I just felt like she was trying to hard or something to look seductive. I'll have to watch it again. She does look good and I like the video and love the song. Also, kudos to Jewel for actually having the video done and ready before the song even goes for adds. Most artists don't time this nearly as well!

I understand what you were saying. I just took her "seductive" looks more as a way of challenging the guy to play the love game with her. And well, it worked. I actually really liked the video, I hope people will understand it.

Yeah, I am sure that is what they are trying to portray. I am sure people will understand it. I felt bad, so I edited my original post :)
I really want this song to do well. I like it a lot!!

I love the video; it's well-shot and she looks gorgeous. That dress looks fab on her. And the song is obviously awesome.
