I really think it's terrible radio isn't playing the heck out of this single. They spun Stronger Woman and this one is a much better song and much more radio-friendly as well.

wow i am completely shocked this completely stalled. maybe it can re bullet but it might not. i thought this could go top 10 for her. it certainly deserves to do better than SW did.

Well I'm not that shocked...I'm just sad...
It was not the right choice for a single...for me it is more pop than anything on her cd...
I love her new cd...TIFLC and ABY are amazing... I also love LIAG and TT... please let it be a third single!

This is really unfortunate. Jewel went all out to promote this, just finished Nashville Star, is touring with Brad Paisley, has a recording company that's really behind her and this one still has not reached top 40... I hope it can rise again and at least go top 20 but I don't know anymore... I think their best bet for a 3rd single is probably Til It Feels Like Cheating, though IMO they should release Perfectly Clear.
On a whole different thing, Ty Murray, Jewel's boyfriend, is supposed to be in the next Dancing With The Stars. Jewel said recently in her website that she was invited to do a big show after Nashville Star, but she turned it down because she's too tired and needs some rest. Maybe they asked her to do it also. Anyway, I'm glad she didn't do it, but it might be fun to watch Ty dance...

I don't think this is done at all. There are several higher profile artists with songs in the same region of the chart (Montgomery Gentry, Phil Vassar, Tim McGraw, Billy Currington, Lee Ann Womack, and even Little Big Town and James Otto). There are only so many plays to go around so songs like Jewel's, Randy Houser's, and Gretchen's song were all down this week. Once the above songs start passing her, this should start inching its way back forward. The chances of this doing as well as SW are looking bleak, but I still expect this to make the T40, and probably T30.

I hope you're right... this song is nice although it would never be my choice it deserves to be a decent hit. As for the third single... I'd prefer Anyone Bu You to be released... I've loved it since first listen.

I honestly would be suprised to see it make top 30.

Now that Jewel and Ty finally tied the knot, could it generate a bit of a bust in I Do's airplay?? The timing is sure perfect, I must say, hehe...

^ Yeah, her album is pretty good. Even though I wasn't a fan of most of her older music, I bought it on a whim because I liked 'Stronger Woman'. In my opinion, 'SW' and 'I Do' are actually two of the weaker tracks, which says a lot.

I'm really liking this song now. I actually may like it better than "Stronger Woman", which is saying a lot. There's a lot of competition, but I hope this one can hang in there and at least make the top 20.

I can't decide rather I like this or "Stronger Woman" better. They both are amazing songs, IMO.

Finally heard this. Not impressed. Just something that tries to be poetic but just ends up rambling.

Yay! The marriage gave it a boost!! 41 41 JEWEL I Do 472 434 38 2.403 Great... I just hope it can go at least top 30 so she'll get another single..and Hopefully she will choose one of the stronger tracks... I agree witht he post above that said that although SW and I do are good, they are one of the weakest in the cds... I don't get this at all, Jewel used be spot on when releasing her best material...

^^You really think that? IMO she has always had a tendecy to release wrong singles and I think this time she's doing it much better than before. Take Goodbye Alice In Wonderland for example: Again and Again first and then Good Day?? When you have the radio-ready hits Only One Too and Drive To You?? Or the album This Way - Break Me and This Way after Standing Still, and she doesn't even release one of the 3 strongest songs of her life (Serve the Ego, Love Me Just Leave Me Alone and The New Wild West)?? And I could go on, hehe...
I think Stronger Woman was the perfect 1st single and it did very well for her. I'm not sure I'd go for I Do as 2nd either, but I like it and I think it's a grower and has very low burn rate. I just hope it can connect with people and radio programmers...

Jewel just posted on her website saying that they are not giving up on I Do and that the song is just taking off now. And it is! Currently it has a +51 bullet and sits at #35, which is a great increase for a pratically dead song... She also said she wants to do an alternative version of the video with pictures of her an Ty and also re-cut the song for it, making an acoustic version probably. Let's see what will come out of it!

Jewel and Miranda Lambert??? hmmm.... Jewel said in the interview below that she wrote a song and wants to record it with Miranda about them fighting over a man, hehe... The sound is awful, but it's about 8:00. www.youtube.com/v/Iu6pBqntY3Y&hl=en&fs=1PS: Can anyone teach me how to post youtube videos here?? :) I tried, but couldn't...

A Jewel and Miranda duet is something I've never even imagined but that sounds pretty cool to me. Those are two extremely talented ladies.
