Great idea and dang, a lot of good singles released tomorrow :) I hope these go on itunes as well--I would love to get Keith's remix.

Good idea. I like how amazon does the future releases. I've been buying a lot more from then than itunes lately. The files are usually better quality, no DRM, and they import straight into itunes.

But I still have like $40 in my iTunes account, so I'm spending that before moving on to Amazon full-force. Which sucks, 'cause about 10% of the albums are available with DRM-free songs.

It's going to be the fight between Jessica Simpson and Sugarland for the #1 in Country... can't wait to see this.

Ok, what the heck is DRM?? Sorry, I am not techinically savvy, lol :) DRM is Digital Rights Management that is like protection for the files. For example, on itunes the songs with DRM can only be listened to on 5 different computers and a CD can only be burned a certain number of times without changing the order of the songs (I think 7 times). It kind of restricts what you can do with the files that you buy. The songs on amazon (and all DRM-free songs) don't have any kind of restrictions and you can do whatever you want to with them. If a song doesn't have DRM then you can also put it on basically any kind of mp3 player you want. (On the other hand, the protected songs that are bought on itunes can only be played on apple ipods and likewise protected songs bought on like napster or microsoft stores can not be played on ipods) Hope this helps!

I hate it. It feels like Apple has such a hold on people.. only play it on iTunes. Only play it on iPods. And while you're at it, buy an iMac. Put it all on an iRack..

I *illegally* downloaded Life in a Northern Town and there is no way I would download AIWTD...least favorite single of Sugarland by far....

I got "Life in a Northern Town" and "Come on Over"... heck, I think that's the earliest I've ever spent money in my life... two bucks and 12:30AM to be exact. Lol.
Kellie's and "All I Want to Do" haven't really stuck on me yet.

Awesome idea for a thead. I seem to always miss when new songs are available on iTunes until weeks later (or the album comes out).
And I honestly believe Jessica will beat Sugarland. First of all, Sugarland's song is HORRID! Second, Jessica has ALL the hype and the fan base, both new and old fans.

You might want to change the dates to July 22 and 29, so people don't get confused ;)

Great Idea for a thread! I'm gonna buy Kellie's album when it comes out, so I'm not gonna buy the single. Same with Sugarland. :)

"Come on Over" has taken the lead so far and at this point... even Kellie Pickler's "DYKYB" is outselling Sugarland's "All I Want to Do"... :S
iTunes Update:
#1. Sugarland- "All I Want to Do" #2. Sugarland- "Life in a Northern Town" #3. Carrie Underwood- "Last Name" #4. Taylor Swift- "Should've Said No" #5. Jessica Simpson- "Come on Over"

i knew Sugarland would be #1 with AIWTD but i didnt think LIANT would be #2! i love LIANT more than AIWTD but both are great, its great to see them do well. i am quite shocked to not see Keith Urban ahead of Kellie at least! Kellie should be top 10 soon.

i almost avoided this because the "Future" in the title, but i clicked and remembered we had this thread!
pretty disappointing week this week especially compared to last week. well at least i wont have to spend any money! :)
and i dont get the Lady Antebellum single either. i got an email from iTunes 2 weeks ago about the "My Alerts" that they do each week and there was a song called "I Was Here" that they released last week, i clicked it yesterday but its gone now. did anyone manage to get it while it was up?

pretty disappointing week this week especially compared to last week. well at least i wont have to spend any money! :) You mean you're not as excited for new music by Lee Ann Womack and Randy Travis as you were for new Sugarland and Kellie Pickler? If that isn't the silliest thing i've ever heard. Seriously though, I will definetly be getting Lee Ann's new single, but I'll probably just wait and buy Randy's new album (does anyone know if it has been pushed back?)

www.youtube.com/watch?v=IitcOId_T1kThis is the Lady Antebellum song, "I Was Here." Not very good quality otherwise I would've made it into an mp3. Plus she talks at the beginning and just records it on her camera. Oh well, you can still hear it pretty good. The Randy Travis album is scheduled for July 15. Don't know off the top of my head what it was originally.
