With the movie coming out soon, should we anticipate remixes to all the old ABBA songs like we have seen for DREAMGIRLS? I bet Offer Nissim would jump @ this since he seems to love ABBA, having remixed "SOS" and "Summer Night City." Anybody heard anything?????

I think there will be a few remixes from this movie soundtrack. The few clips I have heard of the songs in the movie sound promising.
I could really imagine Hani, Gomi, Tracy Young and Eddie Baez remixing some song(s).
There have been so many covers of Abba songs in the past that were not that great. The originals are so great that it's hard to capture either the vocals and/or the instrumentals. For some of them, the vocals were good but the instrumental was just too busy and cheesy. Or the vocals were bad and the instrumental was good. Offer and Maya's "Summer Night City" was so unexpected. I couldn't really compare it to the original because it was so different. It worked very well.

I'd prefer to see more obscure ABBA songs remixed. Things like "Dancing Queen" are just too classic and I think she be classified as untouchable. I think that's why "SOS" worked so well(well that and it was vocally sparse.) I'd love to see some of the lesser known ABBA songs like "Angel Eyes" or "Does Your Mama Know" bc they have such a HUGE catalogue of great songs!

It doesn't say whether the other cast members sing, but none of them are famous for it and Hollywood has a history of hiring famous actors to lip sync (natalie wood in west side story for example)

Some others might have learned singing for the movie too.

Pepper Mashay apparently has a new song called "Does your Mama Know?" What I wanna know is "Is this an ABBA cover?" She covered real life "send me an angel" already, so it could be????? it is kind of an unusual title, but then again madonna, rihanna and leona all have totally different songs called "take a bow"

I'm curious about that one. It sounds really naughty. EDIT: The song is supposedly about all these teen starlets in crisis including Britney, Amy, Lindsay, Miley, Mary-Kate/Ashley etc

Jackie & Jorio's mix of "Take Me or Leave Me" SUCKED. I was looking forward to a nice house mix since Jackie did a great job with "Nothing Fails", but we got that lame tribal dub instead. On the other end of the spectrum, Gabriel D. Vine's Big Band Disco Mix was great.

Are you serious?? I LOVED the Jackie & Jorio... To each their own, but I personally hated it. I think it's one of the rare times where I actually prefer a Tracy Young mix
