I'm really liking this song.
I think "8 Second Ride" would've been a great summer song though. Could've hit Save a Horse level IMO.

The song itself seems good. The chorus is too choppy though and it just doesn't feel like he's singing the verses with much conviction. I think I'd really like it if it was performed by someone like James Otto.

^oh thanks. I'm a bit slow, I don't really listen to the radio very much these days since i got a car-ipod player. i thought it might at least hit top 10 though, it reminds me so much of summer. was there a video for that song?

Wow. I heard this at the CMA Fest and must not have paid much attention to it because I was not impressed.
But the studio version is great. I think this is going to be a big hit. Will probably do for him what "Must Be Doin' Something Right" did for Billy Currington.

I've liked everything Jake's put out thus far, and this is no different. Loved it when he sang it in concert last November, and the studio version is just as good. Hope he can finally top the charts with this one.

Wow, I'm really impressed with his vocals on this. Although I liked his first record, he didn't grab me as a particular great vocalist. I may have to rethink my opinion after hearing this. I'm still not sure if I like the actual song though.

This is off to pretty good start, up 10 spots in week #2. For me this song falls somewhere between Startin' With Me (which I really liked) and Something Bout a Woman (which was ok). I kind of expect in to do the same on the charts, peak somewhere around #10.
BTW, did anyone else notice that Randy and Jake Owen occupied consecutive spots on the charts this week. I bet there haven't been too many occurrences like that before.

I haven't heard the whole album yet, but Green Bananas is a terrific song. It's a well-traveled subject, but it's message is different enough to be fresh, and easy-going enough to be original.

HDD first-week sales prediction:
RCA Nashville Grammy-nominated country-rocker Jake Owen's sophomore album, Easy Does It, is the follow-up to his debut, 2006's Startin' With Me. First-week sales estimates are between 25-28k, and how's that for fine-tuning?

This is a great song. I didn't like it at first but it has really grown on me. This album is also excellent and will be one of my favorites of the year. There are quite a few potential singles that jumped right out at me on first listen.

this has a chance at going #1. i hope it does! its such a great song! I'm actually really surprised that this is doing good still, would've never guessed it had a shot at the top back when it came out. It may not be the best song in the world but I hope it goes #1 just because it's been a while since somebody new hit the top.

I don't think this has a chance at #1. He's got Rodney and Tim hot on his tail, and songs over 25-27 weeks old don't usually have the momentum to get any higher than #3 execpt in extenuating circumstances ("Find Out Who Your Friends Are"). It's not entirely out of the question, but I don't think it's very likely.
