jamiejaclyn, welcome to Pulse. While your enthusiasm for this band is touching, I need to ask that you simmer down and familiarize yourself with Pulse and how it works before you post further. The first thing you should know is that Pulse is neither a fan board nor a promotional bulletin board for street teams. It is a music discussion board. Substantive and analytical discussion is especially prized here in the Country forum, where we typically devote one thread to an artist's single and don't start additional threads about artists willy-nilly. So I've deleted the new poll that you started about SingleTree. We also try not to repeat ourselves with the same points in several threads (well, except for me when I'm making points as a moderator ) Since you are new here, I'm going to ask that you review three threads: [/url], - The Future of the Country forum thread, where forum regulars discussed what needs to be done to maintain a certain level of discussion in this forum, and - the Mediabase/iTunes update thread.[/ul] The first thread lays out some basic rules for the board. The second and third threads give you a sense of the "culture" of the Country forum, and are good reads to give you a sense of what is the norm around here. Thanks, and welcome to the board.

This just got sent out to radio today. I think it's a decent song, but I can't see it doing anything because of the label they're on.

Just listened to this record today. The production is great and the vocals are great. Gave it a test spin this afternoon and got a good response. I heard that the lead singer of the group actually had a deal with DreamWorks before that ordeal went in the toilet. I am anxious to hear more from these guys, maybe something up tempo next time around. I'll be watching the charts and adding accordingly. Reading some of the posts, I have to say, I don't think the label matters anymore. I think it comes down to how much $ you spend in promotions and what kind of relationships the label has with radio. There used to be a huge difference between the quality of a major label act and the product of an independent, this is not the case anymore. Quite frankly, the majors are putting out fluff, the indies know they have to come with a great song and they are doing it. I think that is why CD sales are so horrible. There is no music out there that people want to buy, just music they will settle to hear on the radio because they know it will get played over and over and over again anyway, why spend the money? Anyway, I'm new here, and I look forward to many discussions with you guys.

Monitored means that it's on the Billboard and/or Mediabse panel.

DISClaimer by Robert K. Oermann MusicRow It’s SingleTree! Who? The winner of the DisCovery Award, that’s who. And don’t tell me look for the band on the SSMack website. It’s still under construction. SINGLETREE/Is It Really Over Now Writer: J. Campbell/C. Dean/R. Jones; Producer: Steve Freeman; Publisher: Propps House/Campbell Hart, BMI; SSmack (CDX) (www.ssmack.com) —A heartbroken, string-embellished, highly melodic ballad that pierces the chest in all the right places. Who are these guys?
