Nothing great, but it's OK. I don't expect it to go far (but I said the same thing about RSDG until he put his daughter in it...).

Hmmm, don't care much for it. When he starts to get loud, he sounds a bit awkward.

Nothing like capitalizing right away on your first top five song in eight years, with the follow-up coming out six months later. At least he won't have to worry about competing recurrent play from Ready Set Don't Go.

Ummm, I heard this on the way to work this morning. I still haven't gotten the stench outta my truck.
I think Billy Ray is quite possibly the luckiest man on the face of the planet. He's gone so far with so little talent.

His voice just doesn't sound very natural on this song, or for that matter very good at all. I had a hard time understanding everything he was saying, but it sounded pretty cheesy. After the success of RSDG, a nice up-tempo number would have probably done well, but I can't see this song doing any better than the pre-Miley version of RSDG.

Billy Ray Cyrus films video
Wednesday, August 27, 2008 – Billy Ray Cyrus was recently in Tarzana, Cal. to film the music video for his newly released single, Somebody Said A Prayer. The video is directed by Roman White and includes a cameo by Billy Ray's son Trace, lead guitarist for the band Metro Station. The video will make its TV and online debut in the coming weeks.

I heard this today on the radio. It's a great song but I don't like the way Billy Ray sings it. Sounds very forced. His voice just doesn't sound right. Like I said, I love the lyrics though. I can't wait to see how well this does. I'm surprised at how it's moving now. Much faster than I thought it would.

Hmmm I must be the only one on Pulse that likes this song.
I word it that way because it is moving nicely up the charts...

This has grown on me. But his voice is a terrible fit to say the least.
I'm still baffled this is even on the chart.

Not bad. The chorus and second verse are a little over the top, but it's not to the same degree as most CHR stuff (which is so cavernously overproduced that it makes this sound like "Stay"). I like the lyrics, even though they're nothing special, they do the job well.

I think it's a good song. Billy Ray certainly isn't vocalist of the year but he has a distinct voice.

It seems that they've sent out a "guitar remix" to try and save this single. It basically just makes the production louder, and therefore harder to hear Billy, so maybe it's a good thing. wm.allaccess.com/allaccess/billsome2.wma

Seems like it's time to send the "Miley remix" if the guitar one doesn't catch on.
