I really like this song. It was my favorite from the Duets show.

Well they took a potentially radio friendly single and made it radio unfriendly.
so they've got that going for them.

how was this song ever radio friendly? i personally love it just because i watched Can You Duet and this song was COMPLETELY unexpected from them. this is so different than the usual stuff they did on CYD. i think its just funny to hear those words coming from Joey. i hope this does well, but i am not counting on it since they are not on the best label.

They were very easily my least favorite act from the show. I'm extremely surprised they got a deal of their own.

This has shown up on the CMT rotation now. Great funny video that really uses humor to boost the song.

I eally enjoyed this duo on Can You Duet and I immediately loved this song, it was quite different from everyhting else they had done. I am hoping his will at least be a top 20 song for them.

My local radio station brought up this song and J + R, but it wasn't in a good way. They are big fans of the song but only the Bombshell version. They mentioned the drama surrounding the song, supposedly Bombshell isn't happy with Joey and Rory releasing the song and everything. It's a good song no matter who sings it I think, I mean after hearing both versions a few time and all. I wish them the best and hope it does well for them regardless of the drama.

Joey & Rory's version is MUCH better IMO. they wrote it with one girl from Bomshell so its both of their songs and Joey & Rory had every right to release it. Bomshell is just jealous cuz they didn't release it, and now its a hit.

The way the radio station was going on, they were gearing up to release it when news broke this version was to be released. Curb immediately pulled the plug on releasing the song. They were setting up to release for the past few months prior to the newsbreaking. Some radio stations even had the single version of the song, hence what my station has been playing.
Like I said hope this does well and the drama doesn't hinder it.

I have a blog and have frequently posted videos and other country music content. Of all the stuff I ever put up, including Sugarland's Stay, this video is getting the most hits from google searches. The song must have hit a powerful chord with someone.

Why is Bomshell up in arms about anything?
They could record the greatest song in the history of music and it still wouldn't chart higher than 40.

"The Power Of One" is great. If country radio has any sense of artistic merit, they would have played it like there's no tomorrow. Anyway, back to this song, I like it. I think it's cute, and It's refreshing to hear a more traditional sounds once in a while.

Personally, I think "Bomshel Stomp" could've been a runaway hit if they were on a better label... hated that one and "Absolutely Finger Lickin'...". "Ain't My Day To Care", "The Power Of One" and that other song that i don't think ever got an official release were all really good though.

So true and so sad, especially with their new lead singer whose voice is not nearly as good. Why is Bomshell up in arms about anything? They could record the greatest song in the history of music and it still wouldn't chart higher than 40.
