LA-based band, Metro-Station & their popular single, "Shake It" has been remixed. I'm surprised there hasn't been a thread about this already, as the Lenny B mix leaked a while back and an edit appeared on one of the Promo Only Dance Radio compilations. Anyway, iTunes has released a 2-track remix EP with the Lenny B edit (3:20) and a Lindbergh Palace Remix (6:22). Cool stuff! --if there is a thread that I couldn't locate in either of the pulse search methods--please someone let me know.

KISS FM is constantly playing a joke version of this "fake fake fake fake bakin" all about people who tan too much. my ex doesnt listen to the radio much, but has heard it 4 times and never heard the original and he thought it was the real song! the vocalist sounds almost exactly like the metro station singer! anyway, i just thought that was funny!

I've been playing the Lenny B mix when I get requests for this, even though it's at a god awful BPM.
I've heard clips of the Lindbergh Palace mix and it sounds like it sticks to the original, and I think the original has a great dance-oriented vibe to it.

You're so behind the times. All kidding aside, that old saying really rings true, doesn't it? Someone else's trash... IMHO, the Lenny B. mix is awful. The usual electro-trash that has been done to death. Doesn't even sounds like a Lenny B. I really can't stand this mix. But what do I know? Some people seem to love it. To me, is just a big mess, and not even a hot mess. The promo CD maxi single was sent out back in May 2008. Metro Station "Shake It" [Red Ink / Columbia Records US] US Promo CD Maxi Single 1. Radio Edit - Lenny B. Remix 3.22 2. Extended Version - Lenny B. Remix 7.15 3. Instrumental - Lenny B. Remix 3.22 4. The Lindbergh Palace Remix 6.25

So help me out...
My radio station plays a very distinct but different version than the Shake it I downloaded or that you can download off of Itunes.
I've been trying to find the radio mix everywheres but cant, its on youtube...
The difference between the two songs is very slight, most wouldn't even notice the difference... In the radio mix, at the beginning you'll hear Trace go "awww" and then during the Shake it Chorus there is alot more Umph.. let me know.. if you know what i'm talking about. Thanks
