Jason Nevins just announced, via his MySpace Blog ( www.myspace.com/jasonnevins) that he has done a remix of Katy's upcoming 3rd single, "Hot 'N' Cold." According to the blog post - " Jason has now completed remixes on Katy's next single "HOT 'N COLD" again produced by our friend Dr. Luke. The remix will premiere on Z-100 on Jason's Remix at 6...."Now does that mean 6 PM? I'm confused. Regardless, I'm excited to hear it and to hear what other remixers jump on board for this song.

Everyone's entitled to his or her opinion. I love this song and can't wait to hear the remixes.

LOL! Ha ha. I'm with you. What I CANNOT wait is for this talentless slut to go away forever! And it looks like homophobia runs rampant on the Perry family. Is anyone shocked at all? What's shameful and disgusting is that people like the Perrys exist in this world. Perry's mother slams 'I Kissed A Girl'Monday, August 18 2008, 10:48 BST By Daniel Kilkelly, Entertainment Reporter Katy Perry's mother has condemned the star's hit single 'I Kissed A Girl', claiming that its message is "shameful and disgusting". Mary Hudson, an evangelical Christian preacher, has accused her daughter of promoting homosexuality with the track's lyrics, which include: "I kissed a girl and I liked it / The taste of her cherry chapstick." "I hate the song. It clearly promotes homosexuality and its message is shameful and disgusting," Hudson claimed. "Katy knows how I feel. We are a very outspoken family and she knows how disappointed her father and I are. I can't even listen to that song. The first time I heard it I was in total shock. When it comes on the radio I bow my head and pray." Despite her strong feelings on the matter, Hudson has vowed to stand by her daughter and pray for her salvation. "Katy is our daughter and we love her but we strongly disagree with how she is conducting herself at the moment," she explained. "We cannot cut her out of our lives as she is our child but she knows we disagree strongly with what she is doing and the message she is promoting regarding homosexuality which the Bible clearly states is a sin. "But the Bible also promotes understanding and forgiveness, which I keep reminding myself." Perry recently confirmed that she is pleased with the controversy surrounding the track.

is this song about her career? HOT now, soon to be very, very cold! Anyway...back to talking about the music. Let's try and post something about her "so called" homophobia" in every Katy Perry thread we can.

Let's try and post something about her "so called" homophobia" in every Katy Perry thread we can. No one's doing that. One post here and another one on the "Kissed..." thread hardly makes it "...in every Katy Perry thread". I just run into this article a couple of days ago, and I thought it was an interesting read, regardless if you agree with it or not (and the same goes for the previous article I posted). It didn't make any sense to revive the old thread. Yes, you love her and don't think she's a homephobe. And that's fine. But not everybody agrees with you, and that doesn't make other people's views any less valid. It's not as if I creepily post 24/7 / on every thread there is just how hot I think certain remixer is... ;)

I was totally being sarcastic. I appreciate your views and I find your posts amusing. I'm just saying there are places to post news and gossip. "General Artist Discussion,""General Music News"...etc. The "DANCE" section's (as well as all Radio Format & Chart Forums) original purpose was to discuss dance music, remixes, etc...not to discuss certain's artists' supposed views on homosexuality.

I agree with you for the most part, however, I think there are exceptions, like this one. Yes, this is a pop song with club mixes and the very same song we are discussing could be interpreted as a homophobic song, therefore I think it's completely relevant. And this might not be the end of it... it looks like "U R So Gay" (could you just wretch?) will be the follow up in the UK.

Scotty K did a pretty bland remix to this, but I'm not usually a big fan of his.

Almighty is awesome at remixing, but their covers are unnecessary and bland. So did they cover this song or remix it?

Remixed. I've heard a one minute clip that leaked, and it's definitely Katy on vocals.

Great news! I can't remember the last major single that they remixed, it's been a while. Hope they catch some popularity again. I like their "Definitive" style.

Just heard the Jason Nevins mix. It's his usual sound and stuff, but it works quite well on this song. It took me a while to like the original version of the song. I felt there was 'something' missing. The Nevins mix is a major improvement.

Nevins mix does sound good. Like how he always remains very true to the original... just adds thump!

Be nice S.W.
This is fantastic BOBO, I'm sad you don't know that.
Brilliant mix by Nevins, but I want to hear a Josh Harris mix of this track.

Nevins mix is pretty cheesy (espeicially the intro)... I'm waiting for something better.

S.W., I posted on the right thread.
Katy's vocals on this song are awful. It would have to take an anthem mix and a lot of synths to change my mind. This is my opinion.
