(I didn't see a thread for this.) wm.allaccess.com/allaccess/keithsom.wmaAdd date: September 29 Terrible song, IMO. There's no way this'll amount to ISMY. It's like "Three Chord Country..." all over again - at least that song was good IMO. Maybe they'll pull this in time to get a couple extra weeks out of ISMY...

This will be lucky to make the top 20.

This will be lucky to make the top 20. Heck, I think it'll be lucky to make the T40. This song will be the heir apparent to Bob That Head on my least faves chart. "Snug as a bug in a rug" is an absolutely cringe-worthy lyric. Keith's cd wasn't exceptional or anything, but there were several decent single choices.

This will be lucky to make the top 20. This will DEFINATELY not make the top 20. It has a chance to break the top 40 but probably won't go any further than that. What a terrible choice for a single.

Ugh...the title alone made me cringe when I bought the album. Not a good song and actually not a very good album. There are a couple good songs but this is nowhere near as good as his last album.

Yeah, this is the worst song on this disappointing album. HORRIBLE choice for single. I never thought this would even be CONSIDERED for a single when I bought the album, much less be released. ANYTHING would have been better than this - even his icky version of the GREATLY overplayed "Lost In This Moment".
After his debut album, he had A LOT to live up to, as far as I was concerned. I knew it would be hard for him to top that album. There wasn't one bad song on it. I listened to that CD countless times. "I'll Know When I Get There" is one of the best songs I've ever heard, lyrically and musically. I was hoping for a part two.
Oh well, hopefully the label will change their mind before this disaster is actually released.

i also loved his debut album. there was only one song on it that i didn't care for (can't remember the name). this one is a HUGE jump down. Adaliene, She Could've Been Mine, and Break My Heart are the only ones i really care for on the album besides the 2 singles. i HATE this and C'mon and his version of "Lost In This Moment" is god awful.

"Adaliene" is my favorite as well but I would have rather "She Could've Been Mine" or "Closest I've Ever Been" been chosen for the next single.
I think this one will do a little better than everyone thinks. It's not a good song, but songs like this routinely do well. "Honkytonkbadonkadonk", "Bob That Head", "Me And My Gang", "Holler Back", "Put A Girl In It", the list goes on and on.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say this goes Top 15. Definitely better single choices on the album, but as already stated, his new CD doesn't even come close to matching his debut in terms of quality.
He can always pull a Keith/Brad and release a new version of "Plan B" as the third/fourth single from this album.

Wow, this is bad. This gives "Bob That Head" a run for its money in the "Worst Single of the Year" category.

"Adaliene" is a GREAT song. It would give Keith two back to back hits (big hits!) I would definately like to know who is picking Keith's singles because they need to let Keith pick his own from now on. He'll never get more success if bad single choices keep happening.

I can't believe he is coming off the biggest song of his career and they're releasing this. BREAK MY HEART is the next hit on the album!

yea, i agree that "adelene" is a great song and should have been the next single, followed up by "closest i've ever been" which is a sure top 5 hit! "beer run" was a good song and didn't even make the original album.

A single edit of this was just sent to radio.
I have a question: is the rest of the album this bad? That was awful!

Why they released this as a single I'll never figure out. It's almost like they want Keith to fail and get rid of him. ???

This reminds me of Big & Rich after Lost in this Moment. Coming off the biggest hit of their career, and they release that BH&RG song and sabatoge riding LITM's coattails. I think this song might actually have an advantage compared to BH&RG but not much, it's still pretty awful.
