I wonder what effect this will have on WoaW. I would expect radio to jump all over this. Just when it seemed like WoaW could have had 4 weeks at the top.
Any link to the song?

Guess they're really trying to strike while the iron is hot. The release of this song might lead to Jimmy Wayne reclaiming the top spot on Billboard next week.

Radio will jump all over it, which makes me wonder why they sent the Andy Griffith remix out about two weeks ago, obviously to push the song to #1, but now they are rushing the lead single?

That sounds great. Can't wait to hear the full version. Wonder if this will be the only song released from this project?

Wow. Didn't expect this to be released before "Waitin' On A Woman" started falling. Wonder why they didn't want to milk WOAW a few weeks longer?

Probably because his album is coming out in less than 2 months, giving this song only about 6 weeks or so to register with listeners before the album ships. Obviously releasing this was a last minute decision to drum up album sales (hence the push-back of the release date for the album), so I imagine they will encourage radio to jump off the WOAW bus and jump on to this song as quickly as possible, so that it's solidly in the T10 when the album is released.

I wonder if anyone else will be in the video besides Brad and Keith. Maybe 2 or 3 other guys in country music to play in the "band"?
I liked what I heard. Better than Ticks.

Sorry to ask a dumb question, but this collaboration will be strictly instrumental, right? (The clip won't play for me).

Oh, OK, thanks. I thought that Brad's album was supposed to be an instrumental one.

it is supposed to be an instrumental album, but someone stated a few weeks ago that there would be a few vocal collaborations along with instrumental collaborations. probably because no one would even think about buying it if it was just instrumental i don't remember who the other vocal duet(s) will be with. i think there was another songs named in the WOAW thread if you wanted to go and check it out.

I thought his record with The Ranch was quite country.... it is supposed to be an instrumental album, but someone stated a few weeks ago that there would be a few vocal collaborations along with instrumental collaborations. probably because no one would even think about buying it if it was just instrumental i don't remember who the other vocal duet(s) will be with. i think there was another songs named in the WOAW thread if you wanted to go and check it out. The other song with vocals (that we know of) is a duet with the late Buck Owens.

You know what? There are going to be people who will buy this album because they like either Brad and/or this lead single.
How many do you think will be disappointed when they find out that 3/4 of the album has no words? I know I would be HIGHLY PO'd.

Ah, thanks for the link. This is a fun song. This would make for an entertaining CMA performance :)

I like this a lot. This seems like too much of a lock to go #1.

Eh, this is OK. I am actually pretty underwhelmed, this sounds like a decent album track to me, not single material. I was expecting too much, I guess.

Eh, this is OK. I am actually pretty underwhelmed, this sounds like a decent album track to me, not single material. I was expecting too much, I guess. Yeah...I don't mind it, but it also kind of bugs me how that part at the end of the chorus when Brad and Keith sing "Start a baaaaaand, start a band" sounds so much like the "fly away, fly away" part of Tim McGraw's "Last Dollar." And I feel like you could transpose the verse melody of "You Look Good in My Shirt" here and no one would be the wiser. I'm also a little underwhelmed by the vocals, Brad's in particular. Given the lyrics, I would have expected more of a sense of fun in Brad's vocal and Keith's has less life than usual, too. I don't know...it's a decent effort but I just feel like it could have been more compellingly done, especially with Brad and Keith involved. Regardless, I hope they rock the CMA Awards with a performance of this.

I'm also a little underwhelmed by the vocals, Brad's in particular. Brad's vocals are getting weaker and weaker with each song IMO.

The song is kind of generic sounding, but I'm sure it will be awesome at the award shows! ...And as for the vocals, I don't know if it's an age thing or a psychological thing, but his voice has changed. Playing through each of his albums, it is easy to see the change. Especially from Mud on the Tires to Time Well Wasted. Will this song make it to #1 do you think?

I agree with you Dudley that it sounds a lot like You Look Good in my Shirt. I also hear the feel of Brad's "Online." Oops, I meant "Celebrity." Seems like a cross between the 2 for me, but I still like it.

All of Brad's music sounds similar to me. I liked him better when he first came out. He never sounds good to me on a Award Show.

I actually think the verses on this sound like Brad's Easy Money (from Time Well Wasted). I really like this though, although I agree that Brad's vocals could be better. I really like Keith's vocals though. I wonder if Keith's label is going to get behind this as well, or push a lead single for Keith's next album?
