It seems that Phats & Small are no more...
"Can't Stop" actually started its life back in 2003. Phats & Small were releasing underground tracks under different pseudonyms on their own label, Mutant Disc. Small Phat One was one of such pseudonyms, releasing a few released under the titles of "Volume 1", "Volume 2", etc. "Volume 3" contained just one track, "Just Can't Stop", a track that sort of interpolated Michael Jackson & Siedah Garrett's "I Just Can't Stop Loving You" but it did not sampled it. The only vocals on the track were "I just can't stop loving you..." repeated over and over. It was a cute track. Now fast forward to 2008...
Jason "Phats" Hayward, of Phats & Small fame, has teamed up with Ben Ofoedu, the original singer on Phats & Small's debut album ("Now Phats What I Small Music") to release a track that is based around "I Just Can't Stop Loving You" / "Just Can't Stop". The new track keeps the music from "Just Can't Stop" but it adds new lyrics, performed by Ben Ofoedu. It will be interesting to see how it performs.
As per all Data Records promos, there seem to be like 10 different promos! The first promo that was sent out about 2 months ago, contained the original version in both its edited and full vocal club forms. A second promo, found below, was sent out soon after.
