I like the melody of this song, but I doubt that modern radio will give this much of a chance. But one thing I've got to say is that I am surprised that Doug's voice is still this strong. I mean, his vocals are still pretty solid considering how long it's been since he's had a hit.

I can't listen right now. Is this the song that Ty Herndon, and Gary Allan did to name a few.
EDIT: Yes it is and Herndon's version blows this out of the water.
I got to open up for Doug Stone at a small concert he did in my hometown and he is a really nice guy. His voice is not what it used to be but he has been through so much that the fact he can still sing like he does is amazing.

I've not heard any version of it (I have Living in a Moment but can't find it). What I don't know is why Lofton Creek keeps milking singles from his albums for so long when there's no way in hell that he'll ever chart again (which is a shame). He had six or seven singles (all good) from his last album if I'm not mistaken.

Gary Allan cut it too, which is indecently my least favorite version. Ty definitely has the best cut , but Mr. Stone doesn't do bad at all. Not that it matters, this aint gettin' anywhere near a country chart....
