Seeing FGI still on the chart makes me go mad.
Stickwitu is losing spins now , hopefully Beyonce will be there to prevent Chris Brown from reclaiming #1.

According to the CHR editor of R&R, Feel Good Inc. was put back on the chart because of a resurgance in airplay over the holiday break, which prompted Virgin to promote the song again to pop radio, and so R&R returned the song from recurrent status to current. How ridiculous... This is same excu... errr... reason that the AC editor said when Hall & Oates' I'll Be Around was left on the chart for an extra week or two before the song experienced like -150 and then it was finally removed to recurrent. The thing that pisses me off about this - what about I Don't Want To Be on HAC? That song should have been on the HAC year-end chart... it would have been top 20 for the year!

Seems like that could apply to pretty much any recurrent song, since airplay will always go up around the holiday season due to year-end countdowns. Did you ask him why You'll Think Of Me was moved to recurrent two weeks early?

I know this sounds a bit strange given pop's current climate, but I feel that this song is a little too "urban" to reach #1 on the pop chart.

A. What the hell is the deal with the Gorillaz, is their any explanation? Many songs have started to bullet again and falling under 20, perhaps too many stations still have this in high rotation?
B. Why are such low spin totals dominating 35-50, when all of these stations are being added to the format. I remember not even two years ago when the minimum amount of spins to reach Top 40 status was somewhere around 13-1400.

"Dance, Dance" slowing down. :'( That doesn't mean it's almost over. I remember PCD had a bullet in the 400's with 'Stickwitu' when it entered the top 20, only to increase to almost 1000 when it was in the top 10 and now it's #1. I think Dance, Dance will outpeak 'Sugar..' Didn't that peak @ #5?

Y100 just added "Dance Dance"; it's on their playlist now. I haven't heard it yet, though they play "Sugar..." constantly.

I think there are still several stations stuck on "SWGD," I know my local station still is.
Okay, it is time for a new top 10, things are getting kind of stale at the top: Nickelback, Kelly Clarkson, Mariah Carey, Chris Brown, Rihanna, PCD. Next singles please.

I just noticed - Just Feel Better is almost dropping out of the top 50? Come on pop radio, show you have the slightest piece of dignity and push this song into the top 30! I can't believe this. This song is perfect for pop radio.
On a brighter side, it's good to see Better Days heading upwards! :)

Yeah, I feel like I've been hearing "Run It," "Photograph", "Don't Forget About Us" etc. forever! Hell, I started hearing "Dirty Little Secret" in high rotation last spring! I can't believe it's now in the top 10 and rising, I'm so sick of that song.

The thing that pisses me off about this - what about I Don't Want To Be on HAC? That song should have been on the HAC year-end chart... it would have been top 20 for the year! I heard that the HAC editor hates "I Don't Want To Be" with a passion, so that might have something to do with it... ;) No, seriously, I totally agree with the fact that the Gorillaz should not have been allowed to re-enter the chart. Of course there was a resurgence in airplay over the holiday break. I have three words for Virgin: Year end countdowns! The song made the Top 100 for the year, so it got played on the Rick Dees year-end countdown, Casey Kasem's year-end countdown, not to mention all the radio stations that did their own year-end countdowns. I'm sure that "Feel Good Inc" was on a few of those. I, too, wonder why Keith Urban was moved to recurrent before its due time. I wonder if it's the same situation as a few songs that were on the chart in late 2003 - R&R just put the wrong number in the WOC tally (Lumidee's song is one that comes to mind). The editor must have been off that week and instead, they hired some kid who didn't know what he was doing to fill in for him while he was gone. Tell you what, when it comes time for me to do my version of 2006's charts, I'm keeping Keith Urban on instead of the Gorillaz.

LOL, didn't Rhianna just enter the top 10 like 2 or 3 charts ago? I know, but she is obviously done so why not just fall faster to let someone else in. Plus she has "S.O.S." The funny thing is is that besides Kelly, I've heard "Dirty Little Secret" longer than anything else up there, but I want it to keep climbing because it deserves top 5.

I'm surprised "JFB" has done as well as it is, considering "I'm Feeling You" barely hit the top 40 (or did it?).
On a brighter side, it's good to see Better Days heading upwards! :)
Yes, that is good.

It seems almost certain that Ne-Yo will go #1 after Beyonce. I'd like Kelly to go #1 and I sure has heck do not want "Grillz" to go to #1, that would for sure be the worst #1 in a very long time imo. The title says it all, at least the PCD had a good song even if it did have a bad title.
James Blunt at #1!? That will never happen. A quarter of the stations will never put this in high rotation.

Radio would play anything by Mariah after WBT.
