Nice GOLD... but better gold would be Jennifer Paige's "Crush" or K-Ci & Jojo's "All My Life" or Brian McKnight's "Anytime"...
Personally, I think they really need to get their biggest currents down from the 90-105 spin range to more like 65 spins and get some of the good current product on there that they are missing like Natasha Bedingfield, Cascada and James Blunt.

Please...I don't even want to talk about it...their playlist and spin totals are disasters!

Is it just me, or is this station actually starting to become "pop"? I've never listened to the station in my life, but I've been checking its lineup on yes.com every now and then. I think there are definitely some clear differences from what I remember seeing: Look at the 11 AM-noon hour today. All-American Rejects, Nickelback, Ashlee, and Kelly all right in a row. Didn't they not even play "Photograph" regularly when it was new & popular? Then, the 10-11 hour has "Unwritten", as well as the two Fall Out Boy songs & "Mr Brightside" all right in a row. The 9 AM hour shows that they're FINALLY playing Cascada, and they played it directly after Gwen, Gorillaz, & Lifehouse. Continuing earlier into the day, it can be seen they're playing Weezer, Green Day, Kelly's new one, Relient K, Papa Roach, Blink 182, & the Backstreet Boys. And they're already on top of Staind & Saving Jane (Z100 just added these within the week too). Aren't many of these songs new to the station? I don't recall seeing many of them on KIIS's playlist, but maybe they've been in low rotation all along? Just a shot in the dark, but I'm guessing KIIS airs AT40 from 8am-noon on Sunday (Ashlee Simpson and the Killers were extras during the final hours, and the rest of the songs you mentioned line up about where they would be in the show).

KIIS can't be monitored via www.yes.com like most major stations... 2nd, this indeed was the 8-12 duration during which Ryan's weekend top 40 countdown which is based of the R&R airplay charts airs...

^^ Ah... never had tried it with all lowercase before... that's the fix!
Living here, you have to do deal with the fact that they are so urban leaning... it stinks!!!

It's also completely bizarre that a station that's so anti-rock would play such a well-balanced countdown on their station. Don't they feel weird playing a "top 40" countdown where 50% of the 40 biggest hits aren't even played on the station? It seems like a total contradiction for a top 40 station. If KIIS wasn't a Clear Channel station that also happens to be homebase for Ryan Seacrest, they probably would've dropped AT40 by now.

^^ You're probably right... Of course, for some reason on weekends, it seems like I always hear HYRM and a little more recurrent rock stuff than the rest of the week...
