Their new cd is awesome. I like this track but I doubt US radio will touch it. Too European.

It's too electronic, probably, for some mainstream success, but at the rate alternative is opening its legs to electronic music, maybe if this was released there, it'd have success. This song was a huge hit for Goldfrapp in the UK, and I'm sure, in Europe and Latin America in general.

Free single on ITunes this week! I have been loving this song. I got it today in HQ on iTunes earlier. I was excited that this was a free one. This is doing pretty well in the clubs too. A promo was sent out with the following mixes: Mike "Spike" Stent Single Version Benny Benassi Remix Edit Peter Rauhofer Reconstruction Benny Benassi Remix Extended Phones Re-Edit Tiefschwarz Dub

Its so sad that everything other than 2 genres is too this or that for pop radio, Most diverse country in the world and we have the most rigid genre constraints on the radio!

I think I need to move to Europe. Every song that is designated as too European for U.S. airplay... I love.

I heard this first on WKSS (Kiss 95.7) and it's definitely grown on me.

According to FMQB: And the Academy Award goes to⦠Be on the lookout for the Diet Coke commercial that features the new single from Goldfrapp "Ooh La La" (Mute). The commercial will debut during the upcoming Academy Awards show and she will be appearing on The Tonight Show w/Jay Leno on March 13. With remixes from Benny Benassi and Peter Rauhofer look for this record to explode at Dance Radio and in the mix shows. KNHC/Seattle is leading the way on this one and a number of mainstream Radio programmers are already playing the Original version of the song.

Although Goldfrapp are REALLY not my cup of tea (I find them so overrated), it'd be nice to see them with a hit over here.

I doubt it will do well...after all this song has a backing track...as in an instrumental bed...I highly doubt more than seven people in the average mainstream radio audience will have the brain capacity to listen to it..after all, 50 cent proves that you only need three-note-beats from a bell (not even an instrument) in order to get #1 or top 5 regularly...Please Note: The three note beats in his songs repeat themselves for the entire three and a half or four minutes of the song.
I am not much for Goldfrapp, but I enjoy this song a lot, I purchased it when it was the free single at iTunes :) It is good...I'd add it to MY radio station. Cool beats...cool synthesized vocals! Kudos....but it won't do very well on the hot 100 if it even makes it there.

The Coke ad in which this was featured aired tonight! This song sounds real good in the ad. This may get some airplay as a result of the ad, but nothing to write home about.

Hmm I don't like Goldfrapp. I hope it does well anyway so the US will have some different music, but it won't.

I LOVE this song. It could be a minor hit on Pop. VH1 is playing the video and it's on a new national commercial. I love Goldfrapp and Peter Rauhofer's remix is genius.

GOLDFRAPP Album Title: Supernature Producer(s): Alison Goldfrapp, Will Gregory Genre: ELECTRONICA Label/Catalog Number: Mute Source: Billboard Magazine Originally Reviewed: March 11, 2006
Last year, Goldfrapp took the stage in New York to Cerrone's late-'70s disco hit "Supernature," which was a postcard-perfect introduction to material from the group's disco-spackled album of the same name. Sure, the songs featured on Goldfrapp's third disc are steeped very much in the supersonic present, but damned if "Ride a White Horse," "Lovely 2 C U" and chart-toppers "Ooh La La" and "Number 1" don't recall the synth workouts of pioneering disco and new wave artists like Giorgio Moroder and Gary Numan. Elsewhere, the quietly gorgeous "Let It Take You" and psychedelic "Time Out From the World" offer respite from the dancefloor. With the mesmerizing Alison Goldfrapp leading the way, a glam-rock fierceness reigns supreme throughout this stunning collection. βMichael Paoletta
