I saw the video on VH1 this morning, is this going to be released to radio, Pop seems to be the only format that would play this because of the match-up. I really like this.

Woah I was watching the video this morning on VH1 and wanted to make a thread here because I actually like it. Sarah's hook is really catchy.

This sounds a lot LESS radio friendly here than it did on her Bloom album. Her part was even catchier on the album version. Ehh, this one I have no huge opinion on either way. I'd be surprised if it were a hit.

This is a pretty good one. I like the one on the Bloom album too.

Wow... Sarah's part is awesome.. Although, DMX is one of today's rappers with the worst vocals.. But its still good, nonetheless.

The main hurdle confronting this track is that both of these artists have had a low profile on Pop radio as of late.
This veteran rapper just isn't at his level of success he once was, arguably also not at his game either. And Sarah McLachlan is still a strongly admired songstress who still enchants all kinds of listeners, but "Afterglow" couldn't channel her strengths into commerical success at Pop ("Afterglow" still sold quite well nonetheless)
In terms of quality, this is a strong pairing. However, in hopes of quantity, with both artists outside of the scope of previous successes, this likely isn't going to brew a storm.
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

Ill be in the minority and say I like this version A LOT BETTER and am THRILLED its being released in some form. I honestly hated the Bloom version. It took the punch out of it for me.

This is pretty good actually, although like SunnyScorpio said, his rapping parts are pretty bland sometimes.

Yeah, not a fan of DMC's rapping. But Sarah's part alone could make this a hit. Maybe not a huge one.. but a hit :)

I'm really impressed with this. I do expect it will go for adds, considering they went to the trouble of making this video and pop-friendly remix.
I like this one A LOT better than the album version. The "Cats In The Cradle" chords make the song.

This is a duet I'd never expect to see. Sarah's part is what sticks out to me by far though.

Is this because DMC is releasing his reality series about finding his real parents on VH1?"?

If this had a hot rapper it would probably chart. As it is it could still be a minor hit I think.

The guitar riffs sound too much like some other songs. Weezer's "Bervelly Hills" is the first song that comes to mind.
