Billy Idol's "Don't Need A Gun" should be a good "fill in" while you're waiting for this one. ;)

Radio desperately needs their next novelty hit. 2005 was, in my opinion and many others opinion, the most boring year for music radio on record. Arguably, you have to go back to "Barbie Girl" to find the last big novelty hit. (they remained popular in parts of Europe until breaking up, when front-woman Lene Nystrom launched a solo career with "Play With Me")
I don't think this will be the one, but it's a hilarious parody that would put a cheshire grin on Dr. Demento, especially with the references to the war and Cindy Sheehan, and it's enjoyable.
Come on, Pop radio, for crying out loud, give us our next "Convoy", "Pac-Man Fever" or "Valley Girl".
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

I'm not a big fan of novelty hits at all. They all end up just annoying the heck out of me, especially from overplay.

LMAO That video is hilarious. LOL @ Cheney shooting at the "No More War!" and "Stop War Now!" signs and eliminating the "No" and "Stop."

I'm not a big fan of novelty hits at all. They all end up just annoying the heck out of me, especially from overplay. That's pretty much EXACTLY the point of novelty songs. They annoy so much as to define and characterize generations and eras. You have to go back eight years to where "Barbie Girl" hit, and even longer to when "The Chanukah Song" hit. Some can argue "F.U.R.B" was a novelty song off of Eamon's hit two years ago, but that had a very brief chart run and will never be played again. I'd prefer more of the randomness on the airwaves than another year-end Top 100 chart dominated by nothing but female divas and the next crop of rock ballad cousins of "Here Without You". It'd be nice to have at least a few gumdrops in the mix to inspire new trends and creative vision, but most importantly, define this generation with something everyone could look back on and laugh. When VH1 puts together "I Love The 00's", 2005 is going to look terribly dull and lifeless to many. Virtually all the songs sweeping the Top 10 last year were serious, downbeat tracks. Sincerely, Noah Eaton

I love it. So great. I hope it gets widely spread over the world. The ones who don't like this administration will love it.
