Hopefully Saving Jane will continue it's upward momentum and get off that recurrent list...

Hopefully Saving Jane will continue it's upward momentum and get off that recurrent list... It's still going to be on "that recurrent list" because that list just tells us when songs have reached 20 weeks on the chart. Whether it GOES recurrent in 3 weeks in another question.

If the song is still seeing upward momentum in 3 weeks time, and assuming it isn't in the top 20, Mediabase will probably bend the rules as they did with "Away From The Sun" and "Cold".

Projected top 10 for next week (spin total in ())... based on weighted daily changes over the past week with more weight given to the past day:
1. Be Without You (8483) 2. Unwritten (7519) 3. SOS (6985) 4. Temperature (6898) 5. So-Sick (6883) 6. Walk Away (6827) 7. Check On It (6328) 8. You're Beautiful (6283) 9. Everytime We Touch (5827) 10. Dance, Dance (5191)
Anyone else want to give it a shot??? Could be a fun exercise... thread worthy actually. :)

They may have pulled the adds date, but it looks like CHR/POP wants to atleast send "Talk" new and active.
109 72 COLDPLAY Talk 190 75 115 0.770
13 stations, 6 adds (some not on the R panel).

And the song is doing very well amongst Pulse members... sounds great on the air... this may go top 50 without an adds date... I'm just wondering how high it has to get before the thread gets re-opened?? I guess my answer was #66. ;)

Mary J. Blige at #1! Very good to see her there.
It looks like Natasha Bedingfield will peak at #2. I'm surprised she even had a second hit, I'm surprised it even got to top 10, And as high as #2.
COME ON NE-YO & BOUNCY, START LOSING -1,000 SPINS.
EW at Sean Paul. At #7 with a +1015 bullet? WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please god, let the bullet fall fast.
Pussycat Dolls and Chris Brown need to go recurrent. And Eminem needs to fall out of the top 20. So Saving Jane can go top 20.
Nick Lachey with a +330 bullet. Nice.
Hopefully Aly & AJ go top 40!

At the rate we are going, the #50 song could have 400 spins OR LESS!!!!!!! What is the record for the lowest spin total of the #50 song?
And Anna Nalick for N&A OR T50 re-entry!!!

I have 3 things to say about this topic... 1. This is sad commentary on how afraid of new music CHR/Pop is, 2. It shows just how much the conglomerates (especially Crap Channel) are in control of things... 3. It shows how stations are becoming VERY "top-heavy" with the big hits... I mean is it really necessary to spin your biggest songs every 90 minutes??? 112 or so spins in a week is dumb... at the very least get the songs into 2 hour rotations... that's "only" 84 spins a week... use those other 28 spins to play some NEW MUSIC!!! Give your listeners some variety... Oh... is there an Anna Nalick sighting (finally)??? Better late than never... I don't care if this goes top 40 with 400 spins... I'd just be happy to see it get there... whether it be with 400 spins or 800...

Only 8 bulleted songs in the top 20, wow.
Songs that need to start losing -1000 spins for the sake of sanity. Ne-Yo "So Sick" Beyonce "Check On It" Pussycat Dolls "Stickwitu" Chris Brown "Run It" (this one should lose -3537!)
Boring....Boring...Why is this chart so boring? Hot AC is almost as exciting these days. Heck, even AC. At least at AC there is actually competition for #1.

I feel that there isn't really anything which can make the chart better for the rest of the year. Same old coming with the same old things...Old stuff being a very long time on the chart...These first three months haven't been uplifting even though we have James and Daniel.

I can't believe the bullet on Mary J. Blige's song. +662 is insane for a song that is already way overplayed.
Hips Don't Lie is #25 with a healthy bullet though. Hopefully, it can move into the top 20 in two weeks.

Urgh, pop radio has given up on Ashley Parker Angel's new hit. This is such a travesty.

Of course, his label seems to be using the genius strategy of holding the single from download until the album drops. It worked for Ne-Yo because So Sick was played constantly and will probably work for Rihanna for the same reason, but Ashley isn't exactly rolling in the airplay, so it can't hurt. It's not like "Let U Go" is going to be #1 on the Hot 100 if they do that. I think Nick Lachey's new single has been getting better airplay since it was put up for download.

LOL...what was his company thinking...this song is flopping - its hardly charted on the hot 100...release it for downloads, it can only help at this point...Ne-Yo had a huge airplay song that whished up to the top 10 when it was released for download. This song won't make past 70 without downloads help....
Rihanna's song 'S.O.S' is #38....it will not be anywhere near #1 on the Hot 100 by the time the downloads are released...Face it people: "Pon De Replay" is going to be HER big song

"Temperature" has slowed down significantly the past few days.
However, it's already just outside the Top 5, and I believe this is guaranteed a Top 3 peak here, and unless Mary J. Blige manages a chokehold on the #1 spot for quite a while, which is indeed quite possible considering her huge gains already at #1, Rihanna is the only artist I see worthy of challenging this single from going #1.
"Ever Blazin'" would be Sean Paul's best bet at another hit.
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

It is? I dont think so. Its not Top 10 on Hot 100 Airplay yet. And I think Pon De Replay went at least Top 5 on Airplay. Besides, SOS doesnt have any real urban support while Pon De Replay got Urban in the 20s.

It has a real chance to go to #1 on pop, its top 40 on airplay alone, and it will go at least top 15 on rhy (and its starting to gain some ground on Hot Ac) I just think its silly to declare that Pon De Replay will be her big song when SOS is plastered everywhere due to promotion and is getting good airplay on 2 different major formats. I will bet anyone it will sell her more records too. I think SOS will be remembered over Pon de Replay. But maybe Im just crazy!
And I dont know the exact PDR peaks-on pop I was thinking #4 and I have no idea on rhy, or what her total peak audience was. But I do know that SOS is massive and I have been seeing Rihanna everywhere suddenly-more than I ever did with PDR when no one knew who sang "that song"
