I really hesitated on doing this since it doesn't have an actual adds date. BUT after reading the rules I guess this can qualify since it is a single but not really at this format. If I shouldn't have then just freeze this, I didn't know where else to say this but I'm really surprised although only picked up on 3 pop stations JTTW has surpassed Some Hearts on the format. I have no clue what her lable is doing or if stations are just picking this up. 97 84 CARRIE UNDERWOOD Jesus, Take The Whee... 124 95 29 0.741 87 86 CARRIE UNDERWOOD Some Hearts 121 121 0 0.606 w2.mediabase.com/mmrweb/AllAccess/Details.asp?sngcde=UNDEJTTW&format=H1M

This song is much better than 'Some Hearts', but I can't see it getting any much further sadly.

I don't see pop playing this at all. They're more likely to play her new single, "Don't Forget to Remember Me"

Nope, too late. Should have pushed it about a month ago after its peak on Country. This song may have done something at Pop at that time if it was given an adds date considering the poor run Some Hearts had. However, I can see Country tracks doing well on this format towards the end of the year.

I would love for this to cross-over.
'Before He Cheats' should and will I predict.

However, I can see Country tracks doing well on this format towards the end of the year. I doubt this would have done anything on pop regardless of when they pushed it. The content of the song is something that pop radio just wouldn't be interested in. (Yes, I know someone will mention MercyMe here, but honestly, I consider that a fluke.)

I was going to start a thread for this, but I hesitated for the same reasons you did, and after what happened to another song in this forum this past week, I decided to hold off... It's doing extremely well on the few stations that are playing it... It will be interesting to see if other stations pick up on this in the coming weeks... if it were 5 or 6 years ago, when stations were a lot less afraid of new music, I'd say it would have a much better chance of crossing over than now... a lot of pop listeners have no idea this song is even out there, but it appears to be a great "reaction record" as is... could a Shania-like "de-twanged" mix be in the works???

It is kind of a muddy area when songs are singles, but not official singles at a format. What we recommend is to discuss the song at the formats where it is released (so in this case, country). And if a song gets enough airplay to where the new format itself is embracing it as a single (without the official release), then start a thread and discuss it there.
So following that, this thread will be locked for now. If this song starts to take off on pop on it's own, as Coldplay's "Talk" did (it's currently #66 with a +140 bullet). It will be re-openned. In the mean time, feel free to discuss any pop spins the song receives in the thread over in Country or in the album thread. :)

Ok... I was kind of figuring this is where this was going... I mean it's only on 3 stations at the moment...
