SGG -- thanks for the reference to LeAnn. She's one of the few singers with a voice big enough to sing this over-the-top song successfully. Lisa Layne has a huge voice and pulled it off beautifully.
Dudleyvillas -- please get rid of this thread. I want to go back to being one of the 10 people in the world (not counting people who used to hang around obscure New Orleans beer joints) who know who Lisa Layne is, and now the number is past 10 for sure. Not good. I don't have too many distinctions and I can't afford to lose the few I have. Santa can't bring me what I need, but you can.

Santa can't bring me what I need, but you can. Hmmmm...have you been naughty or nice this year?

Santa can't bring me what I need, but you can. Hmmmm...have you been naughty or nice this year? My goal for the year was "lonesome, or'n'ry, and mean" but I have not been lonesome all year. I would hate to have failed at all three of my goals, but I will have to leave that for others to judge.

Capitol has released "Winter Wonderland" from Darius Rucker. Look for that on All Access soon.

Kellie's personality fits the song better than LeAnn's.

The best Christmas song I've heard this year is a scintillating medley by Julianne Hough featuring Phil Vassar entitled 'It Wasn't His Child/Mary Did You Know?'
It's on her Christmas CD 'Sounds Of The Season: Holiday Edition', and is downright gorgeous; their vocals are impeccable together.

All of the songs from Julianne's Christmas EP are fantastic. I especially love 'Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree' and 'Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas'. I just wish she had included covers of 'What Child Is This' and 'The Christmas Song'.

those are my 3 favorites as well. i am not crazy about her version of "Santa Baby" and i do not care for the song "Feliz Navidad" but the rest is amazing.
