Very Good song. I love the repitition of the song's opening line at the end.
Anthony Fedorov should have sung this on AI this year.

I like it, but I liked their first hit, "The Final Countdown", better.

Love it! It always reminds me of a girl I knew in middle school/high school named Carrie.

"Carrie" was the only song from 1987 to go to #1 on R&R, but not Billboard.
Billboard, BTW, had no songs that year that didn't hit #1 on R&R, so the charts were very close during that time period.

C'mon..that song was horrible...ANy Rocky song was horiible First of all...The Final Countdown wasn't a Rocky Soundtrack...Some guys released many compilations with 80's hits and they are writing next to the name of the song "Rocky IV Soundtrack", I've seen this movie over 200 times and I've never heard that song...and by the way, "The Final Countdown" is the definite hit of Europe and needs some respect...

"The Final Countdown", is my least favorite charted song (in the Top 40 anyway) from the album of the same name, but I still rather like it. "Carrie" would definitely be my favorite and "Rock The Night" would be right in the middle. I forget how "Cherokee" goes, but as I recall, it was so-so.
Europe's worst hit, IMO, would be their 1988 song "Superstitious". I was so glad when that song ran out of gas at #30. Something about that song that I just didn't like.

I liked "Carrie" during that time. Now I do not. "The Final Countdown" was quite catchy so much that it was a huge hit in Europe, and I was surprised that it did not repeat the same success in the US.

I also love when they repeat the opening line in the song in a low key manner at the end.
Are the lyrics to the chorus Maybe we'll meet again somewhere "above" or "again"?
In the performances I've seen on you tube Joey sings "again" and in the video it looks like he's saying again as well. However, the sentence "Maybe we'll meet again somewhere again" doesn't make sense. Lyrics I looked up say "above" though. That would be the more appropriate lyric and would be more dramatic in the song.
