This was a third single from the "Who's The Girl" soundtrack in many countries, including the UK where it peaked at #9.
I think it's a hugely underrated song. It's pretty much forgotten now, but i vastly prefer it to "Who's That Girl" and "Causing A Commotion". It's a gorgeous ballad.

It's not bad. I definitely prefer it to Causing A Commotion.

Not as impactful as something like "Live to Tell," but a decent ballad. I also like the live performance, pushing the imaginary wall and all. :)

This is one of her best ballads from the 80s. It's a shame it was not a single in the US despite it's international success. Radio was definitely still hungry for new Madonna after the success of "Who's That Girl" and "Causing a Commotion". "Spotlight" became a Top 40 hit after "Causing a Commotion," despite not being released as an official single. "The Look of Love" probably could have been a US hit as well if it was released during that time.

This is actually a song I'd love to see her perform live again. Gorgeous ballad.

It starts off fine...but then goes nowhere. The chorus doesn't even feel distinctive.
