Time to re-up, as this song will be irrevocably linked to The Sopranos from now on.

Never liked this, and it's only gotten worse with overplay and overuse in the media.

Do you remember the 1981-1982 Top 10 smash for Journey called "Don't Stop Believing"? It was recently heard in the movie "The Comebacks".

Good one! There was a dance version by George Lamond that I thought was pretty good too.

+1 Even if this hadn't become a staple at every wedding/grad party/major event in America, I'd still hate it.

It's a great tune that has become one of the most overplayed songs in music history. But still one of their best

One of my least favorite songs of all time. If I never heard it again, I'd be a happy man.

Not one of my favorites from them. I mean, it's certainly a classic but they have so many better songs and there's just something so basic about the instrumental. Still, can't dispute that it's an eternal 80's classic.

Has become terribly overrated over the years. It's not a bad song, but I soooo prefer their other songs over this.

Despite the overplay it's gotten, this is Journey's best song (though I've grown to like some of their other hits). A staple on 80s/classic hits/classic rock stations nationwide. Sports teams had used the song as an anthem, most notably the 2005 Chicago White Sox, who won the World Series that year and ended an 88-year drought without a championship (which was even longer than the Boston Red Sox's 86-year drought that ended the previous year!). Some of the White Sox players on that team even got Steve Perry himself to participate in their celebration. (Would had been quite awkward if this was the Los Angeles Dodgers instead as Journey is from San Francisco and Perry's a big San Francisco Giants fan). The other big pop-culture moment for this song in the past 20 years was it's inclusion in the infamous final scene in the final episode of the HBO series "The Sopranos."
