One of ABBA's international hits. UK #6 US #14(?)
Insanely catchy. I love the dramatic, slow verses then the way that chorus kicks in.
"So when you need me Darling won't you hear me SOS The Love you gave me Nothing else can save me SOS"

I love it.
Also, both the artist and song title are palindromes, the only time that's ever happened on a hit single.

I really like this song. It's not one of my fave ABBA songs, but it's not bad either. There are so many ones that are better.
Israeli DJ/remixer Offer Nissim updated this song with a fierce remix. It's really good. The amazing vocals sound better in this mix.

I like it. It was sampled in "Bring Me Edelweiss" by Edelweiss.

S.O.S. was covered by Erasure in 1992.

In many ways, "SOS" was their breakthrough. Yes, "Waterloo" was their first big international hit, but this was their second, and it made people realize they could tackle darker themes and convey a diverse palette of emotions.

This is a very pretty song, the piano line before the chorus is nearly iconic by now and is known more than the full song I think.
And yes, this was the song that really started their golden age. They went on an incredible streak after this.
