And short it was. It clocked in at 1:38, making it the record for a number one song with the shortest playing time.
Jackson Browne remade it in 1978, but it wasn't that short, due to the long, drawn-out instrumental part at the end. I like Maurice Williams' version better though. Jackson Browne's was somewhat annoying, especially with the nasally falsetto voice in the last verse.
