One of the greatest songs of all time in my book. There is something very special about it that makes it completely unique. I personally prefer the 1986 version (the less shrill vocals and my soft spot for 80s drum production), but I do agree with Billy that the original truly captures the essence of something very whimsical and still sounds absolutely fresh to this day. This song also inspired me to read the novel when I was a teenager.

I first heard the song via Pat B.'s version, which I enjoy much. Kate's original is pretty good, too. :)

I think this managed to chart in bubbling under hot 100. I read it somewhere in the past. Can someone confirm this?

My hubby is a huge Kate Bush fan, so he persuaded me into making a video for her discography, but I pushed him into learning to use the software, so he helped a lot with this one:

This is kind of an old question but here's your answer, in case you never got it from anywhere else: On November 4, 1978, it managed to spend one week on the Bubbling Under the Hot 100 chart, peaking at number 108. :)
