Her only #1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 & peaked at #3 CHR/Pop. Classic. I can prefer this to Don't Know Much too & chebingeo's favorite Somewhere Out There

Ditto! This the only Linda Ronstadt song that I own. She must have did a heck of a job remaking this song, I never heard the original. According to my sources the original did not chart nearly as well as this one did!

This is one of my favorite Ronstadt songs and I hear it on the radio occassionally. It hasn't been overplayed like "Don't Know Much" and "All My Life."

Hmm... I didn't used to like this song, but they've added it into rotation on Q-105 and I suddenly love it.

I love just about anything Linda does, including this song. And to add IMO the 3 albums she did with Nelson Riddle are some of my favorite recordings of all time.

I've never deliberately listened to this song, but I've heard it thousands of times. Ain't such a bad tune.

A #1 hit. I like it. Cheesy, but fun. Wilson Phillips and Ellie Campbell both did fun covers recently.

I love it. I don't care for the covers though.

I don't like it nor any of the covers. It's really repetitive. Reba McEntire also covered it.

It's okay, but probably my least favorite song by Linda.

It's my favorite Linda song, I like the instrumental music that closes out the track. The only cover version I am familiar with is Van Halen's slowed down version on VHII which I like a lot but not as much.

As I mentioned in my Top 101 Greatest Pop Songs ever just yesterday, this is an actual remake a 1964 minour R&B hit by Betty Everett (peak #54). After all this was Betty's first hit ever, she's known for that "Shoop Shoop Song" as well.

It's okay, but probably my least favorite song by Linda. Yeah, one of mine too. I liked the follow-up, however, "When Will I Be Loved". Other Linda Ronstadt oldies I like are "Long Long Time", "Heat Wave" (even better than the original by Martha & The Vandellas), "Blue Bayou" (of which there is a topic here), "It's So Easy" and "Ooh Baby Baby". "Hurt So Bad" is pretty good, but I wasn't crazy about "How Do I Make You" (although I liked Shadoe Stevens story about "Transistor Teeth" from a 1989 AT40. Apparently, someone's dentures were picking up a radio station about 30 miles away and "How Do I Make You" was the song playing)

Love it! She's a really under-appreciated vocalist. She can sing anything and get away with it.
My fav will always be "Blue Bayou" though.
