Why oh why is it soooo hard to find the radio version to this song. Anyway I prefer the radio mix version where they sample "Kiss" by Art Of Noise feat. Tom Jones. This was huge hit when I was in going to school. Hit 100 (KGGG) in Rapid City, SD did not add the song until way after it peak on the charts. To make matters worse they played the LP version, which is by the way the one they use for their video clip as well.
#2 CHR/Pop
1990 (when it finished it's peak)

Why oh why is it soooo hard to find the radio version to this song. I know, right? I've never found it on CD. Finally had to burn a copy from my 12" vinyl (which took me about 10 attempts to get the whole thing recorded... for some reason my turntable needle kept skipping on that particular record, the grooves must be really close together). Anyway, I was shocked this past weekend when I heard the radio version played on the radio (Mix 100.7 has "Whatever Weekends"). And I love this song. :)

I heard this when I was in Michigan two weeks ago. It's probably been a decade or more since I last heard it.

Great song. I've never been able to find the right version of "Heartbeat" either.

I loved the radio edit version of this one. Was it really that hard to find in that version?

I loved the radio edit version of this one. Was it really that hard to find in that version? On CD, yes. The single version was only available on cassette and 12" vinyl (unless you were lucky enough to snag a promo), and I've yet to find a compilation CD that doesn't use the completely different album/video version.

LOL. that's actually my favorite too... i'll take the extended-vocal mix anyday. Great song. I've never been able to find the right version of "Heartbeat" either. what version is that? not the clivilles and cole remix?

Unfortunately, I don't live in Germany. ;)
What I meant was that it was never released as a CD single here in the States (that I know of). :)

(but then i think you can buy it online... if you can find one... heard it's really scarce). ;) personally, i haven't heard the radio mix. they pretty much just played the original version here (and the c+c mixes, of course) ... so that's the version we grew to love. ;) i'll be looking out for it. (actually already started looking. heh heh.) in the meantime... i guess i'll have to settle for the "re-mixes" cd.

Seduction's "Two to Make it Right" was a sung version of the rap hit "It Takes Two" by Rob Base & DJ EZ Rock. The rap song only made it to #36 in 1988, despite being so well-known and often immitated.

Here is the popular version:
This is the version I remember. I thought it was the only one until I discovered the original (video) version. The discovery was a WTH moment. Anyway, the song is still hot.

I can hear the sampling of Rob Base & DJ EZ Rock, but to say that this is a sung version of "It Takes Two" is too much.
Love this song.

I also love it, and I haven't found the radio version for this or for "Heartbeat", which I love. I did get the radio edit for "Could This Be Love" a couple years ago. Those edits are hard to find, and "Nothing Matters Without Love" is on my wanted vinyl list.

I've been spinning that a lot. I also got the True Love 12" for 3 bucks.

If I don't get it this time, then I'll order it online. :)

The fact that Michelle Visage is on this cracks me up. Also, the fact that I saw these bitches perform this live when they opened up for Milli Vanilli in the early 1990's cracks me up even more.
Cute song. Not a song I revisit often though.

I liked this and their version of "Heartbeat" back in the day.
This song and "It Takes Two" both sample the Lyn Collins song "Think (About It)".

There seem to be two different radio versions of this song. I'm more used to the version heard in the music video. I heard this song alot on B96 when I was younger. It was a big hit on that station in 1989 and 1990 but I was far too young back then and remember it more as a 80s gold/recurrent title. This was one of my favorite late 80s/early 90s songs and this was this dance/freestyle group's best song. There were also remix versions of this song that got mix show play back then. The "Hip House" version is almost like a different song as it features Michelle Visage rapping and doesn't have the main vocals of the main track. On a side note, I had gotten this song's title confused with Rob Base's "It Takes Two" (another late 80s tune I often heard on B96 growing up). music video www.youtube.com/watch?v=zr7EJa6qR_Aother radio version (7 inch remix) youtu.be/nB4BZjGSuq0Club Mix youtu.be/pEn3M3FcB34hip house mix www.youtube.com/watch?v=AinqZOnvcKY
