Oh yes, you remember this not-so-smash-but-still-a-great-single from 2000!! Amber, one of the hottest dance music artists of the late 90s, released this song and it stuck around on pop stations for a LONG time, even though it only peaked at #25 on the pop chart.
I really liked this song a lot. I wish it could have done much better.

WHTZ played this quite a bit. I thought it was a bigger hit. I liked it. She sounded like Melanie C.

Sexual spend 16 or 17 weeks number 1 on the Maxi-Singles Billboard chart.
Which version was the hit version that radio stations played?
The Original or the Thunderpuss edit, because the video is in the Thunderpuss edit.

I liked this one a lot. I remember seeing the nice Maxi single cover at The Wherehouse for months before the song hit it on KIIS fm. I kept thinking why I never heard of it so I went home and downloaded it.

I loved this song. It would've peaked at #1 on my personal chart if I had had one back then. Or maybe #2, behind some Britney song.
KZQZ SF played it a lot. It made the top 9 @ 9 countdown for months.

The Thunderpuss edit was the version I usually heard (and thus became my favorite)... I think AT40 always played the original version though.

I've heard it plenty, but I've seen the video once, on the all-request music video channel that no longer exists (forgot the name). I never saw it on MTV. And it's not the only dance song. I watched another Amber video on the internet once but haven't her on TV other than that one time. I never saw a video for "Better Off Alone" or "Don't Call Me Baby."

This song was alright, had a similar peak on my chart.
I don't think my radio station even played it.

WHTZ played this quite a bit. I thought it was a bigger hit. I liked it. She sounded like Melanie C. Speaking of, that's one of the most underrated songs ever. I can't believe it didn't get airplay anywhere else besides New York - it has to be the name. The song is amazing.

This song took a LONG time to catch on. The single was originally released in May 1999, and it didn't make the top 40 until January 2000. Better late than never!
Great song!

The only two Amber singles I've heard are this one and "This Is Your Night," both of which I love (especially the latter). I'm curious about hearing other ones she's had, but at the same time, I'm wary about pressing my luck too far.

Excellent song! The radio version anyway. Didn't like the remix.

I hated, hated, HATED this song, and still do. Y100 overplayed this to death. I remember the station playing it way back as long as summer of 99.

However, I could have sworn this song was released earlier, like maybe in 1999. It was released in 1999... first hit the Hot 100 that July (and probably the dance charts even earlier). It took awhile to cross over to the CHR/Pop chart though (early 2000).

I LOVE THIS SONG!! Amber is my favorite singer as of now, and I'm listening to this song as of now. Anyway, did any Amber single following this get played on radio ever (for example Above The Clouds, Yes!, Love One Another)

Above the Clouds and Love One Another got some spins on Y100, but did nothing spectacular.

I really liked this song. The Thunderpuss Mixshow Edit was my fave mix.
Wild 94.9 actually was the first station in the SF market to start playing this song. They played this in the mixshows at first. Then they added the original version into airplay. Z95.7 then added it too. They used to play it heavily in their mixshows.
The original version was just awful.

I used to LOVE this song. I first saw the video like 5 years after it came out on Launch.

Wow, how did I miss this? Great song from Amber, but not quite as good as "This Is Your Night".

I like this one and the follow-up. I think it was called "Above the Clouds" or "In The Sky" or something.

I prefer this over "This is Your Night" (though that isn't bad).

Dun think I ever heard the original version. :/ I'm sorta tired of the other version, though...it's bleh, to me now.... Lol, I watched the vid not too long ago, and it has like a robot dog and it's like a futuristic setting - today, that looks SO CHEESY. In 2000, they were trying to make everything look "futuristic". Now, it lookscheesy and old. Although, I never said I didn't like cheese.

Sexual got to #42 on the Hot 100 in 2000 but it spent 29 weeks on the Hot 100
