The second hit for Samantha, this peaked at #13 on CHR pop. I believe it had a very strange run in that it jumped exactly 2 places every week for a large part of its ascent up the charts. A big hit on TRL too, this kinda made her name a bit, and pushed her album up the charts. Unfortunately, after that they screwed her around and her career fizzled.
Not her best single, but i like it. The remix was way better than the dull original album version.

I liked it, but not as much as "Gotta Tell You". It peaked at #24 on my chart.

I love the single remix (the album version was kinda bland).

Never got why they released this as the 2nd US single.... very mediorce song and "Always Come Back To Your Love" and "Body 2 Body" were MUCH better. The remix is better than the album version for sure.

I really, really loved this song when it was out. Of course, I was a huge Sam Mumba fan at the time, too. 9 weeks @ #1 and my #3 song of 2001 (behind In My Pocket & He Loves U Not).
I, too, agree that the remix was superior to the original album version (speaking of which, the original album release in the US had the ugliest cover... ever... lol)

Fabolous song. Peaked at #3 on my chart.
Why they didn't release "Always Come Back To Your Love" is beyond me! :(

The remixed version was good. Too bad that it didn't do nearly as well compared to ''Gotta Tell You'' in the U.S.. She had so much potential.

This song is a jam! One of my favorites of 2001, though I didn't listen to a whole lot back then.
Whatever happened to Samantha Mumba, anyway? Her first album was so good.

I love this Jam. Very fun and infectious. Perhaps my favorite pop song of the decade.
It's a shame she's fallen off the map.

IIRC, there was a version of this song that had something during the chorus that sounded as if a frog was croaking...couldn't stand that, so I liked the other version better.

This was a great song. I still don't see how I overlooked this song when writing my personal Top 30 charts from spring, 2001. The same thing happened with "Underneath Your Clothes" by Shakira. I guess it was just a case of carelessness.
