Pathetic? Not at all. It held on to 8900+ spins all week so that's cool for me. Yah but I really wanted to see it break 9k, I'm still betting it will kick up again and will or she's just gonna hand it over to JT if not and lose her bullet. If your gonna be #1 be strong #1 is my point, this would be the weakest #1 spot taker since bulletless JT with WGACA. I just saw why you named yourself Soulmate Fel ;) can't wait to hear that song! 8900 spins is pathetic? How about when Breakaway or She Will Be Loved were #1 with spins only in the 7000's?

2 1 AVRIL LAVIGNE Girlfriend 9022 8927 95 50.255 THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT! Looks like my hopes came true, Avril gonna give JT a hard time now (not to mention being right, again..) ;) Wow you guys need to chill, taking words way too seriously - I didn't mean it that harshly, I WANTED it to go higher

Well, pma... you were harsh writing with bold letters pathetic, man!!! Now it's good to see her 9k, I wanted to see her with those spins as #1, too, so I understand your point, but it was not "pathetic", lol. ANd I think Daughtry also had like a +1 bullet once at #1, hehe... their bullet was pretty week when they moved up to #1, too...

Nah it was nothing to do with artist or song it was more of radio / label's pushes were weak. The word "pathetic" was more directed at radio/label than artist/song, so chiiiiiil guys :) Btw Daughtry gained #1 with +250ish spins IIRC with my charting of his song. AT LEAST Avril had a 'small' (there better word? ) bullet when gaining #1 instead of a truely pathetic triple digit negative bullet like JT did with WGACA. There I passed on the word to another song Btw reigning #1 on our Top 8 at 8 program with 21,000ish requests - now that's anything BUT pathetic

It will be really tough to keep that little biatch Justin out of No. 1. He's gaining like crazy!
I'm satisfied with a week at No. 1, who wouldn't be anyways? Now unleash 'When You're Gone'!

PS: Why are they shooting a video for a Girlfriend remix ??? I mean, by the time video is done and ready to be shown, WHO will care for the song?!!!!

RCA has always sucked on stuff like video / digital timing lol. But they are the kings of airplay timing, like Juanca said the buzz about the remix might help her gain strength @ #1 , my station already plays it rampantly at night (infact the night it went from -30ish to +80ish ) EDIT: I just voted that I wasn't tired of hearing this song on Ratethemusic - shoot me now

No surprise as she keeps #1 on our Top 8 at 8 with around 20k votes/requests. Very interesting radio day as Never Again is played twice within 15 minutes, goes back on the Top 8 at 8 @ #7 and Jordin Sparks AND Gwen Stefani debut on the program as well. :o I think people here are over the whole urban crossover songs.
8 Hourish listening sample (random times except constantly between 4pm and now)
Never Again *** :o Umbrella ** Last Night * Makes Me Wonder * Whine Up ** The Kill ** This Is My Now ** Summer Love ** Girlfriend ******* (7 times)
I have no idea what my station was playing more often if Girlfriend differed so much. I've got most of the top 10 on there *boggles*

Weak @ this being dethroned already! >:( She just didn't have much fighting power after the battle with P!nk (except for on my station I guess lol). Oh well at least she got the week she deserved. Back to Timbaland at the top of the charts *sigh* - the Dr. Luke reign was nice.

Still #1 on playlist of my station and still #1 on requests - therefore The Top 8 @ 8 program. Its still invincible on my station at least heh, nothing is coming close to it as the runner ups keep switching place (Summer Love was yesterday and now its dropped 4 spots, Kat DeLuna has been off and on #2)

This is her fifth #1 single according to the newest issue of R&R, which also reports that she's one behind Mariah Carey for the most charttoppers since 2000.
She just broke out of a five-way tie for second place by reaching the penthouse with this tune.

Or are they combining charts like Hot 100, and any Airplay on Billboard? Pop 100, Hot 100 Airplay? Heartbreaker (Did that peak in 2000? Cuz it was released in 1999) Thank God I Found You (??) Loverboy (??) We Belong Together Shake It Off ???

^Quick question/comment.
Mariah has so many #1's, but half of them I've never even heard! ??? How did they get to #1?

Maybe you lived in the jungle before and just moved to the city.
BTW, where did that 6 #1's from Mariah come from? She has only scored few hits in this century so far. Shake It Off, Dont Forget About Us, We Belong Together (HUGE), Thank God I Found You and It's Like That (moderate). Only Shake It Off and WBT are the known real hits and possibly DFAU though.

^Quick question/comment. Mariah has so many #1's, but half of them I've never even heard! ??? How did they get to #1? I remember reading news back in the late 90s about the label being 'smart' with Mariah's physical single releases... then, she could jump to the #1 with strategies such as delaying releases or selling them below price (Rihanna was not the first one). I remember reading that for songs like Heartbreaker, Thank God... and Loverboy (which jumped from low-half of the Hot100 to #2 and a couple of weeks later plummeted again). Then, she did not need that with TEOM, that's right.

I have no idea which BB chart that report was referring to, but 3 of the 4 artists who've had four number ones since 2000 were Nelly, JT & J Lo.
Given the bewildering array of charts which BB has, I'm just as confused as you are.
But BB has been VERY inconsistent for over TWENTY years, which is why R&R was known as 'The Industry's Newspaper' for its entire existence.
Crowning CHRIS BROWN as the '#1 All Formats Artist of 2006' in their year-end issue last year was, well, YOU figure it out!!!!
R&Rs #1 trademark was ALWAYS its consistency prior to the buyout, and now that BB has incorporated digital downloads into its Hot 100 survey, it's become VERY easy for unkown such as Cupid's Chokehold to go from never-heard-of-them to where-the-heck did they come from in a split second.
I don't know how 'smart' Mariah's label had to be insofar as the release sechedule of her singles; she was THE hottest singles artist of the first half of the nineties, and hitting #1 with your first TEN singles at R&R (smashing the old record of six!!!) is still mind-boggling, to put it mildly.

^Hey, Marv, I completely agree with your last paragraph. Mariah was the hottest on the FIRST half of the 90s, and I was really glad to see her getting hit after hit... BUT after Honey, it all seemed tricky with her #1s, the ones I mentioned, and also people were saying things about My All's lone week at #1, I remember. I think Mariah is a great artist, but still think she is a bit overhyped in terms of records. In that point I agree with legendtina: too many records for her, being the 3rd artist in BB history with the most #1, only surpassed by Elvis and Beatles seems just too much for me. It's like Westlife in Great Britain (not to compare both artists musically but chart-wise). Back to Avril, it's good to see her consistency in the Pop charts, hope she gets another smash soon. I still think the label was LAME!!! I mean, NOW what is the point of the remix?? Unless she has a boost in OHP or whatever the weekend show is called, the remix would be pointless. Had she released 2 or 3 weeks before, I think she could have stayed stronger at #1 and not been surpassed that easily by JT >:(
